Every time someone has used a jutsu to bring someone back to life it has resulted in their death. To me it makes sense that this would have been the case even if Pain had used the Rinnegan to bring back Madara. So as much as there's very little consistency in the Naruto world I'd like to think that people reviving themselves wouldn't be something they'd do.
That aside I'm kind of annoyed at how broken they've made Madara out to be. I know you need some crazy powerful villains in endgame but it doesn't make sense to me that he was this powerful when fighting the first Hokage. The only way I can rationalize it is just like Sasuke has demonstrated in the past Sharigan and by extension Rinnegan increases in power the more powerful your opponent is. It makes sense to a certain extent given that Sharigan has always been a way to copy and almost instantly adapt too or copy your opponents techniques. I guess he was enhanced and with Edo Tensei has nigh infinite chakra and regeneration. Just seems out of place that he's as cocky as he is but then again he's the leader of the douche bag clan.
Meh. It's kinda of a given the brokenness of Madara is a Michael Bay effect for the manga at this point. Makes no sense story wise, especially considering past battles with supposedly equally epic shinobi's. Imagine Sarutobi vs Orochimaru's battle drawn today in the manga, it'd be completely different.
Madara's trolling is getting old in my opinion. "Now itz tiem to show u my true TRUE POWA, for realz dis tiem!" Only reason he isn't as hated as Aizen is because Kishi did the smart thing and broke up the major trolling in pieces with showing other battles in the mean time.
It was implied that Pain wouldn't have died had he not been emaciated from the fight with Naruto.
The big thing about Madara being so powerful now is that for one, he didn't have the Rinnigen when he fought the First. He also wasn't immortal and didn't have the First Hokage's DNA implanted into him.
I'd probably have a bigger problem with Madara's over-9000 if it wasn't about to end.
What makes Aizen annoying is that he was pretty much the end-all before he was introduced. There was really no counter to him, nor any development. There was nothing to grow to appreciate, nothing to root for.
Madara is different in that A) this is not Madara, but a zombie resurrected with a h4x jutsu and given a h4x eye, both bonuses having previously been established (had they just been introduced at the start of the war, I think we'd all have a bigger problem with Edo Tensei and Rinnegan).
B) original Madara was set up to be a much more fallible, more sympathetic character. His point of view is relatable to some degree, and and it's been established he wasn't perpetually perfect.
C) referring to A), the h4x superpowers have about reached their end, as Itachi is about to end the Edo Tensei. Were zombie-Madara to survive indefinitely, this shit would get boring.
i have to agree with Madara is only as kick ass as he is due to unlimited Chakra, i'm sure even naruto couldn't make two meteor's fall from the sky and have enough chakra to live
My only question about this whole Edo Tensei thing is that because Mummy-Kage summoned Madara to the battlefield, and not Kabuto, will he poof away when Itachi releases the jutsu or will Mummy-Kage have to release Zombie Madara?
I put money on it that undead Madara gives two fucks about Edo Tensei ending and will continue to stay around and pwn after it's ended.
Zombie Madara has already implanted a jutsu into Tsunade so that once he is gone she will give up her life to revive him.
My bet is Madara despawns with all the other zombies, but then Raikage goes berserk and starts fighting the other Kages because that genjutsu he got hit with did more than he thought.
Or that it dispels the "resurrection" part, but the zombies have to be destroyed, still.
Giving Itachi a final stand, and a reason to "kill" Madara.
It was outright stated by Pain/Konan that if he wasn't weakened by his earlier battles he would have survived.
Edo tensei also has the additional effect of not really caring if the summoner survives so if madara forces a prototype Edo tensei/whatever like I suggested earlier it doesn't actually matter if anyone dies summoning him back to begin with
Anyone have a good streaming site to watch the subbed eps? I'm away from home and don't have the link to my usual site, and forget the name.
