I'm not so sure. I'm still of the belief that Naruto will become the Kage of the new united Ninja nation towards a new era of peace. That works whether or not the Kages live or die.

Great chapter, Going to need another box of kleenex. overall 2nd place to my 3 boxes of tissues for the end of the Naruto and mom chapter. btw Shisui plucking his eye out like it was nothing...pretty badass.

I brought it up a while back, don't remember the logic but it's obviously out the window now. I think it was something to do with sasuke's mum being the only person who knew she was about to give birth at the time.

Anyway, good chapter, although it didn't really reveal anything.

So it's pretty much confirmed there are multiple ways to unlock MS? Didn't seem like Itachi or Shisui killed anyone remotely close to them to achieve it.

Well yeah of course Sasuke will get a new ultra delux Sharingan out of all this. Final battle will be Ultimate form Sasunoo Sasuke vs Juubi Naruto. Which at first sounds lame but the fight will probably be cool.

I took that as a given from the moment Kakashi manifested it, since we're pretty sure he didn't off any friends for his. It's probably one of those things where myth tells a story that is different form the truth, though not a far cry.

While the Uchiha myth states one must kill their closest friend to get the Mangekyo, the reality is probably that one has to endure a personal trauma not unlike killing one's closest friend.

Don't think Shisui ever unlocked the mangekyo. His eyes are just broken from the get-go.

Danzo never had it either, and mangecrow was a normal sharingan iirc.
