Between izuna, 2nd best uchiha in history, and obito, some kid who sucked and died, the answer should be obvious
I still don't like that 9tails wasn't scared of tobi because the real madara controlled him therefore he can differentiate between the two. Didn't tobi control him during the konaha attack? Is that different than what madara did in people's flashbacks? Shouldn't the 9tails be afraid of tobi because he's capable of controlling him too?
Edit: there was no dialogue from 9tails when they met tobi or ever about him, right? I'd have expected 9tails to have said something about tobi like he did when he freaked out about madara
ah what the fuck do I care, I'll just wait until it's revealed
The flashback was that of the statue, not the 10 tails. He simply remembered a few minutes/seconds ago where he tried to kill the statue thing by kamu'ing its throat away but tobi was able to stop it. In other words, tobi reversed the effects of kakashi's thingy. Fuck if I'll ever remember how to spell these things. Kamui?
I like it because Izuna would actually know all the details of the entire Uchiha clan history first hand, and Tobi seems to know them all first hand as well.
He mentioned that Madara was of a more sinister chakra than his own. In regards to Tobi he just says "You...," leaving Tobi's identity up for uncertainty.
Here's a pic that leads credibility to Rhyis' theory of Izuna and Madara swapping identities, but still both claiming to be Madara:

Keep in mind what Tobi meant by "... who chose to look to the future..." refers to his Moon Eye Plan and obtaining the First's DNA.
Guys... I've got it. Tobi is...Spoiler: show
So Naruto is actually a Uchiha clone? I like it.
Alright, but can someone answer this question? This is what I believe-- I believe that Madara & Izuna Uchiha, created an epically grand master plan to control the world via an Infinite Tsukyomi
Which one is a genius, and which one is insane?
It's clear that their genes, to some extent, have been spliced.
Izuna makes complete sense following Sho's logic with the liberty of a few tidbits here and there. The only reason I can't cosign just yet is the whole Mizukage bit, what the fuck was that added there for? For what purpose or even relevance? Izuna was bored and felt like taking over another village?
Amegakure being an offshoot of Kirigakure would be interesting as hell if true, taking over the country where Nagato lived, but we've been told nothing of the fact to believe as such. The exact opposite, Amegakure was at the center of the five villages and was a constant battlefield.
Or Kirigakure was just a beta Akatsuki. Kirigakure had 2 Tailed Beasts and Tobi started the graduation ceremony where all the mist ninja would have to fight to the death to graduate.
I'm almost positive that during the 5 kage meeting, they have the mizukage shit because akatsuki started in her town. Which makes perfect sense with Tobi in control for however long.
Nah. It wasn't specifically her village. It was something about the Raikage should be the general of the army because all the other villages had missing-nin's who ended up being a part of Akatsuki.
I'd say Izuna is the insane one for sure. Seems he was going along with the plan, and went insane over the years to accomplish it.
As for the entire Mizukage and Village of the Bloody Mist deal, it seems Tobi just wanted to stir up the fires of war no matter where he went. Also the fact that he could train killers to run it back to Konoha.
