So we're clearly going to see Obito see Rin die, and that's going to send him over the edge into Madara's whole "this world sucks" thing. I'd like to see more about just how Zetsu was created (the entirety of them, not just a singular one).

What frustrates me is that this Nigga Madara gets to live a fufilling life full of killing bitches, presumably sexing up bitches and being a boss as the Lord of his clan, being famous and everything, but one or two things go as he doesn't want them to in his life and all of a sudden he's allowed to transition into this emo, whiny grandpa. He then manipulates the shit out of one of the most down-on-his-luck, nothing-good-happens-to-me characters ever, who just happens to be an Uchiha, into agreeing with his "woe is me because the world sucks!" philosophy.

Such a dick move. -10 points, Madara.

I'm wondering, though, who he gave his eyes to. They never showed us that he had any great confidants or friends or anything, so who could he possibly have given his eyes to? One argument last week was that Tobi would eventually give them to a young Nagato, but based on what we see here (an old madara essentially bound to a magical Hashirama tree and a very-near-death Obito), only one of two things could have happened (thus far):

1) Madara was good friends with (or sharingan-manipulated) Nagato's parents and had them implant his eyes into their child, a non-uchiha, but a Uzumaki descendant who had the potential to awaken the rinnegan.
2) Madara trained the shit out of Obito, who was then able to use his hax eye's pocket dimension to short-warp back in time to give Nagato the eyes... somehow.

Yeah, Kishi, we need more chapters.

what does Madara mean by "those arent my eyes". Fuckign confused, whom did he give his eyes away? Pain? Would explain why Pain has the rinnegan

EDIT: i think it is Pain.

Pain is way older then Obito. I guess Madara gave Pain his eyes. Reason? dont know. But imho I think Pain and co. are older then Kakashi and co.

I dunno. The things that didn't go as he wanted weren't exactly minor. His brother dies in the midst of the war, and after all of that, presumably the people he died fighting against all of a sudden want to ally. On top of all of that, his clan goes against his wishes and the crap he more or less predicted (allying with the Senju = Uchiha losing standing) happens.

Then they kind of blame him for being a war-hungry bastard when he was looking out for their best interests. Tries to exact revenge, ends up getting his pet tsundere fox taken away and his ass kicked.

Maybe a loss of points, but not -10.

His brother died after he ripped his eyes out. Dude was blind. Death is gonna happen. Madara was a war-mongering bastard and you know it, born from a jealous brother who wanted Rikudo-Sennin's power for himself. The origin story Tobi told Sasuke was likely ripped straight from the mouth of Madara himself, speaking to a young Obito. You already saw in this very chapter how much Madara likes to try to "dye" someone in his colors - talking continuously about how meaningless this life is (now that he lost - it wasn't meaningless when he had goals for himself and thought he could achieve them) to an injured boy that couldn't do anything except for to listen to him. Hell, Tobi telling Sasuke (who was also injured and in bed - go figure), mirrors the situation that Obito, himself, was in.

We have yet to hear a 100% unbiased origin story on Madara. What we did hear, however, was Tobi's version that Madara told him, rife with more than one instance of "well they believed me to be this, but in actuality, I was that!" instances. The dude was an old man who had a massive bias, and now that he's eternally young and flush with ultimate power, look how he acts; bitching the shit out of everyone in war, when he could simply have gone straight for the 8 and 9-tails and finished his plan. Couldn't do that, though. He had to stick around, drop a bunch of meteors, let everyone around him know how hopeless the situation was, assert his dominance (the guy gets off on being in control, as he's proven), made sure to insult the closest blood relative to his old rival, then bisect her with a fucking tree.

He should be -15 or -20 points for brainwashing the youth, as well as corrupting them. The guy is a control-freak. Most likely he'll pull a Frieza or Cell and flip his shit when things stop going his way.

Although I know the answer, I just curious how Obito's personality changed so drastically several times. With this flashback and "recent" events we see his "down-on-his-luck" side but when he was acting as the leader you see how logical and tactful his thought process was. I.e: Talking with Sasuke, talks at the Kage Summit, talks with Naruto and Kabuto, etc. Could be setup for an even greater troll or simply something more "down-on-his-luck" things happened to cause the agreement to carry out this plan.

Hell, based on the last page alone I'd say he was going to use Madara the same way Sasuke was using Orochimaru. Powerlevel, do a few things and backstab. Not a completely worthless chapter. We've had action packed chapters for quite a while now so the slowing of the pace is definitely due. This also sets up needed time to bring Sasuke and company back into the story.

1 last side note: How the fuck did Kakashi and Guy get to Naruto so damn fast (including heal time lol) and the entire fucking alliance STILL hasn't reached yet! Someone give me a #facepalm!

@DrClout: Obito probably never fully trusted the things that Madara said, but presumably witnessed Rin's death from a distance and just lost it. He probably felt like she was his reason for existing anyway, and without her, it was pointless to do so. He probably figured that he might as well go along with Madara's plans, given that Madara saved his life. If I were him, though, I'd have just Edo Tensei'ed her, and if she gave me any lip, brainwashed her with mangekyou hax and did the naughty for the rest of my life. He's probably a bit "touched" in the head after her death, though, I'd wager.

I have a feeling that he still has his own agenda, but that it falls somewhere in line with Madara's overall plan for the Infinite Tsyukiyomi. Perhaps if the sauce and naruto team up to fight Madara and fail, Kakashi will step in, almost get killed, and Tobi will have his Anakin moment, save Kakashi and die from his wounds, restored as a hero and a good guy.

...or something like that. I was never good at fanfics that weren't of my own creation.

So medical jutsu should be super hax and instantly save lives, then, since this is a magical world where people can breath fire easily and walk on water as children.

Depending on how good the ninjitsu is, and the person using it, it does work that way lol. You don't get to make up the rules D:

Tsunade protected people from basically a nuke going off in town lol, and after a nice (couple of weeks long) nap, she was just fine.

I might be reading it wrong as "died as a result of ripping his eyes out", but Izuna died in combat after, not directly as a result of it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we should completely pity the guy and he's not a warmongering, power hungry bastard. But if Infinite Tsukuyomi was Madara's plan originally, I could see why.

As far as unbiased origin story, well.. Itachi might've summed it up best: "He's just a sore loser".

...Which further leads me to wonder: Did Itachi actually meet -real- Madara before he died? I know we saw him meeting with Obito in a flashback, but that doesn't rule out the possibility Itachi might've seen the real one, heard the story, and was like 'lol k' in his mind.
