There's no real reason to think the senjuu aren't still around. We see a very small section of the ninja populace for the most part. Look at how long it took for Danzo to show up despite him fucking up each and causing almost every single problem in the series so far.

We need to take a betting pool on how Danzo killed Rin. I call dibs on she was healing some ninjas when Danzo decided to retreat and to blow the area she was the fuck up in order to slow down enemy troops.

You're just speculating. The only confirmed Senju left in the entire manga is Tsunade. There's been multiple confirmed individuals who've descended from the Uzumaki clan.

I don't think she's the last Senju, just the last of hirashima's line, as you mentioned. The entire village is made up of Senju, but all have different abilities due to bloodlines. Makes perfect sense to me.

It'd make sense if the timeline was hundreds and hundreds of years. Sometimes bloodlines just die out naturally... As far as I can figure though, Konoha and the other great nations aren't even 100 years old.

Really I think it's just written that way so there isn't a direct counter to the Sharinganhax in the Narutoverse. If Konoha had hundreds of treehax people at their disposal, there really wouldn't be a story.

I think it was specific (or at least rare within the senjuu clan itself) to the first since his brother to our knowledge didn't have any mastery over something his own brother could have at least given a lesson or two on and the constant attempts using the first's cells to replicate his specific power that have happened since his death. If it was just some existing bloodline ability it wouldnt be regarded nearly as special as it is nowadays. If it is a bloodline ability( appears to partially be so given that tsunade has at least some abilities available) he was probably a mutation and as such he's the first one to have it.

Not everyone had treehax in the clan. The clan in general was just that powerful overall. Madara/etc were special cases while most uichiha were first level sharringan or Sasuke(when not protected by plot) level. Aka they were dangerous to most but the really strong clans like the senjuu could still take them down.

They call it a bloodline limit, but Hashirama was the only person to ever use it from his bloodline. So it's probably something that took him decades of mastering. Tsuande might be able to use the techniques if she ever attempted to learn the shit. Or Mr awesome first hokage would teach all his blood relatives to use this pwn justu... Which you'd think you'd want to considering it's called the most powerful technique in the ninja world.

This nigga wasn't all that particularly impressive against the 3rd Hokage and there's no reason to believe he was weaker then his real life counter-part due to Edo Tensei. It's just such a dramatic turn around lol.

Kabuto saying he has a better grasp of Edo Tensei can be argued he can just control more people, letting the zombie go batshit insane at their fullpower isn't indicative of anything he specifically improved on.
