I read the RAW first too, but I figured it was just another one of Itachi's traits like being able to use genjutsu with a single finger. Besides, his hands are always stuck inside those sleeves, so perhaps he did it secretly O_O;

Well, in the manga, he may have used his hands, only he did it so fast, Sasuke couldn't tell. I remember him doing hand signs against Kakashi, Asume, and Kurenai way back when, but Kakash said he could hardly follow them, even with the Sharingan. So I'm not too sure. Itachi may be able to do it without hand signs, or he just did quick ones from within his Akatsuki jacket and what not. D:

Awesome chapter either way. Knowing the love for Sasuke though, I'm sure there will be some plot-twist/hole that'll happen to save him. Part of Orochimaru, the Sasuke Itachi is reaching for is actually a clone, etc. D:

Sasuke still hasn't used this wings/cursed seal thing yet so I would hardly call this fight over. Perhaps having Itachi get close to him was planned. Seeing as how these guys seem to plan 8 years in advance of a fight it wouldn't surprise me that everything so far in the fight is setting up a trap.

Nono, I mean.. wouldn't you think Itachi would go for both of Sasuke's eyes, and not just the one. I think if the theory of him getting one of Sasuke's eyes happens, Sasuke might get away and then Kakashi will give Sasuke is other eye, giving him some sort of power boost. I don't think Itachi can get Kakashi's eye and have it work, but again, this is all doubtful as it's probably a clone. =P
