Clearly a trick the ninja spy did on purpose. SHOULD he get caught being a spy from a different village because he refuses to take off his original villages headband, he'd use his mis-coloured sideburn to distract whoever caught him so he could cleverly make his escape. His sideburn plan had a tragic flaw though, he didn't anticipate getting impaled by a tree and knee'd in the face.

We still have to cover him attacking Konoha when Naruto was born, so I would bet at least 1 more chapter, albeit it might be partially flashback, partially jumping back to the present

The only thing missing is him controlling the mizukage. I would like part of him going to Konoha, but I can accept it as he got trained through genjutsu and looked bigger because of zetsu or something.

The whole "I'm going to go on a rampage and murder everyone in the craziest way possible with the exception of the guy who actually did the deed" thing is kind of weird and a bit of a weak explanation for why kakashi didn't know who tobi was. I know he's pretty messed up in the head but you'd think he'd at least use his instant teleportation to go ask Kakashi why he killed Rin even ONCE in the last 16 years.

Not like it matters, plot's never been particularly watertight. Overall pretty good chapter, good to FINALLY see what black zetsu is about.

so Nagato is from the Senju Lineage but wasn't he considered to be of Uzumaki Lineage?
