I thought whenever the clone takes damage it disappears. Kinda like when Itachi's got nailed with that huge shuriken. How many clones have ever made a huge impact crater?

Shadow clones have lasted a while several SEVERAL times throughout the manga and anime. The reason itachi's went down so easily was because the giant shuriken had chidori on it, they even had a page showing it cutting through the clone.....

Yeah. I'm pretty sure a clone of Sasuke/Itachi's level can survive being thrown against a wall. Surviving a Giant Shurikan with Chidori in it while getting slashed through the shoulder on the other hand would be slightly tough for a clone to "survive" >.>;

Was just a thought. I remember during the Chuunin(sp) exams when Naruto had placed the clone in a crater after Neiji smashed him into the ground. Just couldn't remember ever seeing a clone get nailed that hard and stay standing. I stand corrected

Probably used a jutsu to make one into as many as he wanted, similar to what Naruto and Sasuke did with the windmill shuriken against Zabuza.

That or he has an arsenal under his Akatsuki cloak.

You know, before reading this I thought Itachi was only good in Genjutsu. Now I'm positive Itachi is so far ahead of Sasuke in Nin/Tai/Genjutsu it's not even funny now. D: The only thing Sasuke has over him (in movement speed) is Body Flicker.

Clones definitely disappear when they take damage. That clone that Naruto used during the Chuunin Exams was after he got smashed into the ground. The smoke that the impact created was a cover for him making the clone. I'm positive Sasuke just got smashed against the wall, unless it was another Genjutsu. Besides Kishi would've been jerking us around too much if it was another genjutsu, I'd be pissed if it was.

See that's the thing--I have no idea how to distinguish between Body Flicker and normal speed. Here's an example of Sasuke using Body Flicker.

That's body flicker? I thought the Tobi example was the only body flicker in your links. You could see Tobi's body clearly vibrate after he jumped.

I always mentally contributed "flicker" to Sasuke's increased speed, like when he just appears next to Naruto for the first time in Shippuuden and pulls his sword out on him... but now I'm not so sure with the example of Tobi.

It'd be nice if they released one of those informative ending pages to explain things once in a while, heh.

Just noticed another thing: On the frame where Tobi's body is vibrating you could see the shadow of him jumping on top of him. That's what a Body Flicker is. Sasuke is just really fast.

edit: Actually that shadow might be Deidara.

Sasuke is drawn differently when he is moving really fast which makes me think thats the flicker. Also, if Tobi was just cut by a sword that could be why he is shaking a bit.
