you know giving an Eye doesn't give the Dna needed, look at kakashi that bro has had an eye for 18ish years now and he still gets drained by level 1, if the dna your currently claiming worked the way you claim he'd have full control over it

didn't he basically say the Statue would only answer to madara or Nagato? (maybe only due to the rinnegan) so in return you just needed someone who had the chakra to withstand it handicapping you to....well...you know what happened

Is there any specific reason Obito hasn't developed his own Rinnegan? He had plenty of Senju paste used in his repair. Same goes for Danzo too, he had a hearty mix of both.

Presumably you need both your original eyes.

Don't know why we do this every few weeks. Naruto isn't going to get the rinnegan, he only has the body of the sage of six paths (the senju line), he lacks the eyes for it. Nagato is an exception, not the rule, as Madara gave him his rinnegan eyes. Why they work so well with him is probably because he's an Uzumaki, and they got special chakra.

Are we sure he gave him his Rinnegan eyes? He said he gave him his eyes, he didn't specifically state he gave him his eyes once they were Rinnegan'd. Maybe he gave him his eyes, then Madara took a new set of eyes and awakened Rinnegan in those.

It's implied that by the time Madara had achieved the Rinnegan he was too old to use it, so he passed them onto Nagato, knowing full well that he could make use of them to eventually bring him back to life when the plan came to fruition.

Are you trying to say that Kakashi is part Senju, or that having some Uchiha dna added to him would make him able to use the sharingan like he was an Uchiha?

Kakashi obviously doesn't have any Senju in him, and you can rationalize that the second part is wrong by looking at Danzo and Orochimaru. With all the body modifications Orochimaru made to himself, do you think he wouldn't have spliced himself with some dna and popped in some eyes if that's all it took?

You need to be an Uchiha in order to utilize the sharingan properly. Although, it's possible that being a Senju might work as well.

You can't awaken the rinnegan, or more importantly control the Gedo Mazo, unless you have the powers of both the Uchiha and the Senju. He put his Uchiha eyes into Nagato because he was of the Senju bloodline and would therefore be able to use the Gedo Mazo.

I don't think there's been any reason given for why Obito hasn't unlocked his own rinnegan. He can control the Gedo Mazo after all, so him having his own rinnegan would make sense.

As for Danzo, it's likely that you need to be at least originally one half of the equation. If you could just mix some Senju and Uchiha together in any random person then Madara probably wouldn't have went out of his way find a Senju child for his eyes.

What I'm interested in now is what would happen if you gave a native Senju a pair of Uchiha eyes that didn't already unlock the rinnegan. Would they go straight to rinnegan, or would he be able to control the normal sharingan and mangekyou like an Uchiha can? I assume the reason Nagato went straight from normal eyes to rinnegan is because they were Madara's eyes, which had already unlocked it.

At the very least We can confirm that being a native Senju gives you more control over the eyes. When Nagato wasn't in rinnegan, he had normal eyes; meanwhile Kakashi is stuck at sharingan minimum and Danzo w/ his Senju DNA hax was at a sharingan minimum as well.
