Break next week, booh.
Oh well at least when the plot is weak, there's always trolljutsu to fall back on, fucking Madara hasn't really repeated many jutsus.
The Heart.
Oh I mean
"I don't care anymore"
Finally getting back to the good stuff.... now we just have to wait 2 weeks for it ._.
1 Page of Kishi being like "Oh shit, Madara vs Naruto and Obito vs Kakashi" and then 17 pages of "Sasuke and Co. walking to Orochimaru's other OTHER SUPER Hidden base for massive powerups".
Believe it!
Madara just needs to spam a few meteors and move this shit on already.
I suppose the only interesting thing is that Obito probably organised Yahiko's death because he saw through the BS. But I guess that was already pretty much assumed because he wanted to piss nagato off enough. Get the feeling we're not done with flashbacks yet, expecting a few more to make tobi and nagato's relationship CRYSTAL CLEAR.
I did like seeing Obito give the same speech that Nagato gives later on lol.
So what's the deal with the Mizukage?
They'll probably save that one till later. Obito finds out Madara orchestrated Rin's death, power of friendship, Obito's a good guy!
Edit: Although, Obito showed his face to Kisame which is what made him recognize him as the dude controlling the mizukage. So who the fuck knows at this point.
Stockholme + Sharingan genjutsu + "arranged" tramua (Mandara could have easily arranged for Rin's death to push Obito over the edge, just like Obito could have easily arranged for Konan's death to push Nagato over the edge, though Yahiko wound up taking the bullet - which still lead to Nagato losing it anyway) is a hell of a drug.
What I find curious and interesting is that there seems to be a cycle of people in power wanting to spread their beliefs, having those dark beliefs dispelled initially by hopeful youth, then summarily crushing that youth to reinforce their dark notion.
Madara did it to Obito, Obito apparently did it to Nagato, and Pain attempted to do it (and nearly succeeded) to Naruto, although we don't know 100% if Pein was following Obito to the letter. Konan pretty clearly stated that they were planning on betraying him anyway, so that would have inevitably been a pretty boss fight between Pein and Obito.
Kakashi tells Obito the truth that Rin was a traitor and she had to be killed, and Obito misunderstood everything and becomes a good guy!!
He'd still want the fake dream world, if for nothing else but to fufill HIS illusion where she's not only good, but probably likes him. He wants what he wants, and unless someone can convince him that what he currently wants (and what he's wanted for the majority of his life now) isn't what he truly wants.
Now what would be BALLER is if Oro came in with a Kochiyose Rin, granted her her full personality, and SHE talked Obito down. We could hear the truth from her own mouth.
Not just strong, but intelligent. She studied him for years, apparently, noting his tendencies and observing him incombat. She knew more about his combat style than anyone. If Nagato had still been alive, I'm pretty sure they could have killed him through a combination attack of some sort. Perhaps the paper explosions for 5 minutes, and when his phasing wears off, having either his chakra drained by the fatty path, or simply killed by the human path.
If he suspected her, he didn't act on it until after she openly betrayed him. Either he was underestimating her (as all men in this series do, and in real life), or he didn't realize the depths of Natago and Konan's resolve to their original ideals.
The fact that she'd obviously spent a hell of a long time preparing for the battle and had the home field advantage (where she literally created the field for said purpose) probably says more about that fight than their strength. The fact that he didn't have the rinnegan and 6 monsters fighting for him at the time probably helped too.
But yeah, it's kind of a shame the only woman who's put up a good fight in the whole series (tsunade's a punch-bag, the other female kage hasn't really had much chance to achieve anything solo) vs. a main villain got killed off so quickly. We all know sakura's going to spend the entire war in a tent and not do anything to avenge tsunade through some crazy slug sage mode, unlike naruto and jiraiya. Bitch sucks.
