So much for that hyuga-uchiha showdown I'd secretly hoped for. Pretty good chapter, just for the love of god don't let some shitty technique revive him so it all means nothing. About time we got some deaths considering it's a freaking war.

Also, interesting that madara is obito's bitch, wonder how that'll turn out.

Obviously he will steal Obito's body when Naruto POFs him.

Also, Obito says hes been skeptical since he met Madara? Why exactly? This guy basically saved your life, Obito was pretty herpaderp back then and it seemed that Madara molded him to his current worldview. Are we to believe now that Obito arrived at his worldview on his own? I could understand that post-Rin's death but before it?

Not that I don't Obito being more assertive as the villain here. His smug dismissal of Madara, his taunting of Naruto after wasting Neji... it's on now. The body count rises.

Because the dude tried to brainwash Obito from day 1. He kidnaps him, restores him to health, isolates him, constantly preaches to him about his own ideals, denies him contact with any others except for creations of his own doing who also share the same ideals (somewhat... they just seem happy to exist more than anything) and conveniently allows him to leave at the precise moment to observe a tragedy that will reinforce the message he's been flooding into Obito's brain all along. Dude was trying to stockholm syndrome Obito from the very beginning so that he could get his way in the end.

I'm just happy that Obito at least understood that the guy wasn't revealing all of his cards at once. I wonder of Obito knew that Rinne Tensei killed the user prior to Nagato using it, though I suppose he would, given his anger at the fact that Nagato actually used it on someone else.

Winner winner chicken dinner. So now Obito fights and kills bros until they get him on the ropes, then he either rinne tenseis Madara to full, leaving Madara to finish the job with a forever alone Obito in the manga (doubt this will happen). Either that, or Madara tricks/controls Obito into rinne tensei after the power of friendship turns him over, leaving the alliance to do Shikamaru's pops last strategy.

Its a good plan for Madara, and, just like Itachi said, young people can be dyed in any color. The youth are always the easiest to brainwash because once you shatter their perceptions of "innocence", you can essentially program whatever you want into him. Obito's "innocence" was shattered when Madara allowed him to witness Rin death. From that point on, he was Madara's puppet, or so he thought. Just how much of Obito's own plans have been developed is something I look forward to seeing in the coming chapters, as its always nice to see the brainwashed not as brainwashed as they appear to be. You can hide a lot behind a fake smile and fake obedience; just look at the kids of the religious nuts who escape at the first opportunity..

Madara almost instantly Genjutsu's him and forces him to Rinne Tensai.

Madara becomes the jinchurriki of the 10 tails.

Because Naruto is in sync with the 9tails, genjutsu wont work on him.

Sasuke shows up and can't be genjutsud because of his EMS.

They use the knowledge that Sasuke is off learning right now, to use the power of the sage of the 6 paths, saving the ninja world.

Even if Obito finds out that Madara was somehow responsible for Rin's death he's still inclined to kill the shinobi alliance and Madara who both oppose his ideal of reuniting with Rin in the infinite Tsukiyomi. I think Kishi is setting us up for Obito offing Madara and getting an upgrade leading to Naru/Sauce teaming up to take down SSJ Obito.

Madara killing Obito would make me facepalm and yell out at the top of my lungs "You just got Nagato'd"
