I'm pretty sure Orochimaru could still release the jutsu on Hashirama and he would disappear. Being able to move freely is a different matter from reinstating the jutsu. Itachi still disappeared when the jutsu was undone.

Couldn't he just do what Madara did then? When the jutsu is released, just reseal himself? Not saying he will do it, but being that the jutsu creator is his own brother, I'm sure he has an idea of how it works.

Edit: In fact, why can't all 4 of them reseal themselves? Hashirama is the "god of shinobi" and his brother made the jutsu. His brother... made the jutsu. Sarutobi apparently knows how to use all the Leaf's jutsu and Minato not only learned advanced seal techniques and jutsus from Kushina and her Uzumaki lineage, but probably also learned all the leaf's secret and forbidden jutsu just from being Hokage

If the second was going to release himself, he "could" have simply done so instead of trying to go through the wall. He flexed his chakra twice and caught everyone off guard twice. He probably doesn't even know how to exploit his own jutsu that way yet.

Tobirama most likely would be able to stay around. If they know the jutsu Hashirama and Hiruzen could probably stay around as well. I doubt Minato knows it though. But the point still remains, the jutsu has to be undone before they can reinstate it. Being able to move freely like Hashirama can right now is a different matter.

I don't think Tobi woul dbe able to stick around. Remember that Kabuto/Orichimaru worked along time after their deaths, and even claimed to have improved and perfected it beyond what Tobi had. It's more than possible imo that he doesn't know how to do it.

Madara probably knew how to do it from having the rinnegan, and therefore having expert knowledge on all jutsus.

None of this matters. Orochi got power of friendshipped to the good side by the sauce. Once story time is done they will all go rip madara and co. a new hole, assuming sasuke doesnt tell them to RIP and he'll go handle the other uchiha, and the first is all "the village I created has come so far".

That wasn't explicitly stated. All Madara said is that the reason Edo Tensei is forbidden is that like all forbidden jutsu it carries a risk; in this case is risk is the fact that if the summoned soul knows the technique, they can release themselves and they will have a self-regenerating body with limitless chakra.

We didn't see Madara release himself on page, he just stuck around after everyone else went poof. It's possible Hashirama released himself the same way as well.

It seems that Tobirama simply thought he would be able to resist the control of the jutsu because he had been brought back full-strength.
