Spoiler: show
Showed my little cousin the two and he was like I think the original jp intro is terrible and boring.
I hate to say it after rewatching it I think I would of went to a different anime had i seen the dbz original intro.
Back to the manga, would be funny to see ehonda's attack or what happen to Hidan and Kakuzu when they fought Asuma's monk friend but to a tail beast
They didn't use the intro but they did the use the music during the credits.
Wow, what a shit chapter setting up for shit flashbacks.
Yes, they're both strong. Let's spend most of a chapter illustrating that again. This chapter should have just started out with them as children since apparently it's relevant to everything now. And is it me or do the artists need to try a little harder; I couldn't tell what was going on in half the chapter cause it was all just a bunch of lines that I guess were supposed to be clouds of dust and what not. Half the time I just ignored what was going on and waited to see what the other person did to counter since we already know how this ends.
The 1000 arm Buddha was cool though.
Well yeah, they've basically showed every generation to have such a pair and similar results each time. Of course it's up to Narusuke to stop the vicious circle of hate and betrayal!
Actually I think it's a good theme to use. It shows that the ninja cycle needs to be broken. You have friends that are close, trained together (or grew up together) and something drives one of them from the other. One is clearly good, one is clearly bad. Suddenly they're pitted against each other and in the process a newer, up and coming group of ninjas (in the same situation) find themselves in the middle of the conflict. One of their friends is killed, sending one of the friends into a frenzy and continuing the perpetual fighting.
The lesson being taught here is exactly that - that the cycle will only end when those that have lost realize that loss is inevitable and that by continuing the cycle of hatred all you are ensuring is that the cycle continues once you kill someone who is close to another that is fighting your conflict. Obito tried to do this with Naruto when Neji was killed while Hinata reminded him that death doesn't mean you should give in to hate. Orochimaru and Tobi succeeded with Sasuke because they preyed on his naivete.
As sucky as it sounds, the only way for this to end right is if Sasuke comes around and he and Naruto end the fight once and for all and reconcile the Uchiha/Leaf lines.
Plus, I don't see it as a "flashback in a flashback" (lol donquixote). I see it as him just continuing the story. He stopped talking about his fight with Madara and started recounting when they had first met.
As much as its annoying, its been a recurring theme in the manga and recurring personalities happen in RL making it more believable for the target audience.
You know, once you take away the swiss army eyes, the shooting elements out of your orifices and the rampant zombie flashback abuse.
