I'm fine with the back story, but then I've generally enjoyed every back story.

The whole point of Hashirama's story time is to give Sasuke some desperately-needed perspective. He needs to know his clan had a rather noble passion, but their shit didn't smell like roses. And he needs to know just how fucked he's going to be if he holds on to all that anger. You'd think Itachi's story would have been enough to wake him the hell up, but apparently not.

At the Moment Hashirama tells the story so i figure he does not know what exactly happened at Izuna's death or how Izuna awakened his MS.
My guess: after Hashirama tells the story they all go to the battlefield, Madara sees Sasuke and gets Flashback about Izuna. Izuna does look a lot like Sasuke.

I'm hoping he would go into that and why he collected them. I also want to see how the level of trust he built up with all the nations he gave them to broke down.

He collected them because they are dangerous and powerful. He gave them away as peace offerings with the other villages. The peace broke down for reasons that have been explained time and time again, one ninja kills some one, family wants revenge, rinse repeat ad nauseum. This whole thing would be excrutiating if it wasn't for sasuke listening to the story, but he should already know almost all of this, its Konoha history 101.

This stuff isn't for Sasuke. It's for us. Sasuke just wants to know what happened with the Uchiha and why they wanted 'revenge'.
