getting specific: NDS WIFI

hmm well, some of you guys/dudets might have seen my nds/psp thread.
i went around asking bits about the wifi capability and how to gain access to it, etc.

before i actually order my nds, i want to make sure i can make this wifi stuff work; its the only real reason im leaning towards the nds... FFT is my all-time sexlove game and thinking of not being able to get it crushes my soul but ohhhhh pokemon online lol, the kid in me

anyway. i dont have a wireless internet source, and from what i understand my choices are
1) get a wireless router thingy, this also allows for sharing internet with other computers?
2) get a nintendo DS WIFI USB connector
3) ???

the NDS WIFI USB is only ~40USD, so that i can afford, but after doing a google and reading forum stuff, im seeing alot of complaints about it, and the wifi options for NDS in general. im not a tech/internet junkie, i barely managed to format and upgrade all my drivers so.... this owns my ass.

i have a korean ISP, im positive its DSL (vDSL to be precise, dunno what the difference is), and uh... i dont have the ability to return the item. so if i cant troubleshoot this, its gg

for all NDS wifi users, whats the recommendation? since im not so good with pcs in general, im leaning towards #2 to just doing an easy CD installation and hope to god i dont run into any problems.

Just to make sure.. youre connected via ethernet right? the cable jack going into your computer is bigger than a phone jack right?

get a router, you can use it for other things other than ds too. your laptop etc
