    Drachen Roll

Don't know if anyone's interested, but took down some notes while fighting Kirin using Drachen Roll.

With SMN using Diabolos' Nether Blast, and no Dragoon in party:

SMN 1 Base 515 dmg with no roll
SMN 2 Base 508 dmg with no roll

    Roll of 3 (lucky) SMN1 > 550 dmg
    Roll of 3 (lucky) SMN2 > 542 dmg

    Roll of 8 SMN1 > 535 dmg

    Roll of 9 SMN1 > 535 dmg
    Roll of 9 SMN2 > 527 dmg

Sadly that's all I got before we finished. It's hard hitting ppl with rolls when they're running around like crazy, which explains not having anything for Roll of 8 for SMN2. I know it's not very expansive, but it's interesting.

I'm always interested in COR info. Thanks for tests results.

Only time i've had access to Drachen Roll on my SMN was on a lucky Fafnir once I was lucky enough to have a COR in my PT, and since things were going extremely smooth, I asked for Drachen Roll, and MB'd the next SC with Windblade (lol, yeah, got it same day update came out) for 680. MB'd 2 more times with it, both with Drachen Roll on, got another around 650, and a resist for 520ish, rest of my BP were mostly physical, since I didn't wanna play around too much. Only relevant merit for this was 1 merit in Avatar Magical Attack (used the day Diabolos came out, to see how much 1 merit bumped up Nether Blast damage)

The COR roles were not lucky roll / perfect #, so I assume a good role could've pushed it up to 700-750 perhaps. Higher if I actually had Thunderstorm, and weather/day, but I have other stuff to spend merits on first.

And no, I don't usually use Merit BP >_> Just wanted to test while I had a chance.

Tested the effect on wyvern healing and offensive breath.

Wyrm Armet + Deep breathing - 420 (this is the typical number you'll almost always get on any mob)

    Wyrm Armet + Deep breathing, Drachen roll of 3 - ... 420!

Did a few more wyvern breaths without deep breathing and a wyrm armet. The normal number is 210, which is what I with the COR buff regardless of the number rolled.
I did a deep breathing healing breath with no tp, wyvern mail and drachen brais + drachen roll of 3, came out to be 612 HP healed. Again, that's a typical number obtained without any buff. Without deep breath and wyvern hp the effect was 332. This is the number obtained normally with a wyrm armet.
The buff describes adding magic accuracy as well. Regarding this I feel it's relevant to mention that I still got several full 90% resists on the EP mobs I was testing on.

Commence with the lolling, because I think this is absolutely hilarious.

Wouldn't your pet need the roll bonus and not you?

Pets can't be hit by buffs, or much of anything beneficial. Presumably your pet is affected vicariously by the buff being on you or something. If not, well, he was in range to be hit by it, and he wasn't.

Can't you transfer bard buffs via Empathy or whatever? Wouldn't it make more sense if you tried to give your wyvern Drachen Roll via Empathy and then test? >_>

Possibly? Even if drachen roll required empathy to work on a wyvern, it's still the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard of. That's not how it works on SMN anyway, though.

I'm pretty sure MAB doesn't effect BLU Breath spells either, so indeed this is lol.

It's SE, Drachen Roll doesn't have to affect DRG wyverns to make sense to them.

Exactly. Choral Roll is Interrupt Rate Down .. but Bard Songs can't be interrupted, so it doesn't help the job at all.

Maybe DRG wyverns have an intrinsic MAB that no one ever notices because its always active, but it gives other pets that bonus.

Your right! I think SE gave wyerns 'capped MAB' so the drachen roll can't increase it further ... /nodnod
    Jokes aside its pretty sad.
