you don't have to drop it all. theres a person on lower jeuno (H-9) named Vingijard who will reset the quests. Go back, redo them. You don't have to throw away your current af until the point where you'd recieve the item (aka after doing the entire quest, going back to recieve the reward, or going to open the coffers)
