This is quite unlike me, but I've managed to develop some sympathy for the woman.

She clearly feels trapped by the paparazzi and the media that created her, as evidenced by the "touching" remark. It's hard for any of us to fathom having your every move scrutinized by the public to the point where every step you take has some repercussions and your reputation takes a beating day by day. I think she's frustrated, and her psyche has been shredded by all of it. Shaving her head was an irrational way of shedding herself of her fishbowl life. Of course, rather than minimize the rabid media attention, it only provoked it further.

After shaving her head, she stopped by a rehab clinic, probably hoping to isolate herself and gain some freedom. But she realized she'd be stepping out of one trap and into another and simply couldn't go through with it.

I predict next she'll attempt to go into hiding, either in some fortified locale or overseas. I wouldn't say suicide isn't a possibility, but I just don't think that's the kind of escape she's looking for.

I can't feel bad for a famous person that hates the razzi so much she shaves her head. The razzi made her as famous as she is. She's a celebrity, and she needs to deal with it. Rehab is what she needs, bad, and she couldn't even do that for a day.
