    Waking the Beast

Quick question: are the avatars in these 18 person fights stunnable? I haven't been able to find out if they do or don't resist stun through the usual sources.

I don't recall them being stunnable. In fact, I don't think any of the avatars can be stunned.

I believe he was referring to the original Prime Avatars.

If he was talking about the ORIGINAL primes, i doubt he would have put "18 person fights" or Waking the Beast (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Waking_the_Beast) as the title.

And I believe i heard they cannot be stunned.

When we did it, they were unstunnable. The only way to survive 5 Searing Lights at once is to get as much distance away from each other as possible.

I don't think we ever tried stunning them :P But I'll have to agree with Toth, I don't think they're stunnable. The best way to handle the final five Carbuncles is to have two or three people each assigned to one Carbuncle, and pull them very far away from eachother.

Last I checked, Prime Avatars are 100% resistant to any magic that isn't the element they are weak to. Thus, I think Leviathan is the only one you can stun in his prime form...?

I think in our trail runs we tried stunning but had no luck, Taj. I know you can stun Fenrir's 2 Hour in his BCNM but the problem there is that the avatar 2hours in the BCNMs are way too fast and it's more luck than skill if you could get one off.

Pretty sure they just absorb nukes of their own element and are immune to the element they're strong to.

Yeah. We've also had Primes in those fights wait til around 15-30% to do their two hour instead of the usual 40-45. Well.. standard by the times I've done it.

Yes, I was part of Taj's group when we went. It was an all SMN burn and it was actually quite challenging. Shame on me for the 'no avatars can be stunned comment' though. I do it all the time in limbus XD

I've done it only once, on the day it came out. We had BLMs and SMNs... BLMs nuked down the avatars while SMNs dealt with Carby (during both single-carby form and five-carby forms).

Though after we were rewarded with Levi's Couse and Titan's Baselard, and a shiny new Carbuncle Pole, we never went back.

Shiva's Shotel is pretty hot for BLU in my opinion.
