I'd like for you to record yourself beating it without a gameover screen on normal. If you can't do it shush. I have beaten the damn game on hard and yes it is fucking tough, when fucking dots are flying in your fucking face from every ship you kill. I'm trying to "bullet eater" normal still.

Not to mention that like most good Shmups, its true difficulty is in gaining a high score. Getting record-breaking scores in Ikaruga is insanely hard.

I almost bought a Gamecube solely for Ikaruga. I was undecided between that and FFXI.

Occasionally I'll play Raiden Project or Einhander os PS1.

Ive been playing gradius v for about a month now, working my way through it. Im definatly rusty as fuck but my reflexes are coming back. I should hopefully beat it and get the weapon mode unlocked soon, then I can enjoy the game. Up to 10 hours for the credit system.. I hope I dont have to enter free play to beat it ; ;

Depends on what level your playing at. Stage 5 and 6 are fucking monsters to beat the first time through. Whoever made those stages need to be shot...
