DS "Must Buy" Games

From my understanding, a Slot 1 device such as the R4 cannot play GBA games. However, can you put an emulator on your microSD card to enable GBA gameplay, or other games such as NES, Genesis, SNES, etc, or is it strictly Nintendo DS only?

1st part about slot1 not playing GBA games is correct.

Emulation for the GBA is not possible. (Not yet, and most people speculate it will never be due to the way the DS is setup)

There is emulation for like SNES and stuff, but it's reaaallyyyyy shitty. (and Idk if they're slot1/slot2 only or w/e, tried to play Chrono Trigger once and immediately turned it off and took it out of my card)

It's really not a huge loss not being able to play GBA games, is it? The only games I was really interested in were from the Castlevania series. I'm not a Pokemon fan at all like a lot of you posters seem to be, so would I be missing out on any good games, sans Final Fantasy remakes?

I'd reread the thread for possible answers to the GBA game question, but most of the posts seem to be about people being thieves for using flash carts.

Using http://gbatemp.net/index.php?dynamic=39 it doesn't seem like any of the carts capable of playing DS games can run GBA roms. If I get a cart that can run GBA games (Slot 2 I guess), can it not run DS games?

Slot 1 = Play NDS Games Only
Slot 2 = Play GBA Games Only
Slot 2 + Passkey device (Or a Slot1 that acts as passkey device if you're rich or something lol) = GBA + NDS Games
Slot 2 + Flash your DS = GBA + NDS Games

FFTA
Ogre Battle Advance
Castlevania Games
Various RPGs (of varying quality lol)
Fire Emblem
etc.

I got M3 lite for GBA support but my GBA library is pretty extensive already so I don't come close to filling it up. I usually put extra NDS games on there since they are so much bigger and my M3 simply is filled up.

You get your SC Lite which goes in the bottom of the DS, it fits perfectly too, doesn't stick out like gba games do. Then you get the Supercard which goes into the Slot 1 top of the DS. That is there for essentially tricking the DS into thinking there is a DS game in the system when you load up the SC.
K, so you have those 2 things. Then you get a USB micro sd card reader. And then you just get your micro card. I have a 2 gig one, and I currently have like 25 ds games, and 5 gba games on it, and I still have half the capacity left which is nice.
It all costed me maybe ~100 dollars for everything, which pays itself off in like 5 seconds after you get your thing.

I would suggest going back in this thread to pages 4+. That is where the conversation really heated up and lots of talking about these supercards happened. Lots of instruction and even a really good .pdf guide was posted. If you want I can email it to you, since I downloaded it, and it walks you through everything you have to do.

I'm looking for a bundle for my DS lite and would like to know which ones are best.

I had purchased and EZ Card for my GBA but it was crap. (cheap knockoff without support.) So I'm leery of purchasing things from overseas.

The information from page 4 was from February. What's the latest and greatest I can get as a bundle from a reputable dealer.

which are compatible with older pokemon rom images. I have some save files with a ton of old pokemon i'd like to recover.

Also does anyone have a copy of that .pdf?

I have and amp just like this one, got it for $9.99 a long ass time ago for my lady to play her electric violin on... works wonderfully. With a $4 adapter you can use your DS with it. I actually DID use it with M-06 Guitar Sim (the japanese version of Jam Session) and it worked flawlessly...

I can see absolutely no reason to pay $40 mmore for a $10-$15 Mini Amp. Who knows, maybe the amp included is much much better than mine, but ... $40 better??

So I was trying to play Jump Ultimate Stars on my PC, and I keep having this problem. Every time I get past the first (I think?) mission, it goes to a loading screen, and after a couple seconds I get this error:

You need to go into the emulator options and change NDS cartridge backup media type to EEPROM 64kBytes then reset the emulator. don't forget to save the configuration.
