    iTunes and Winamp

Is there an easy way to transfer my iTunes format MP3s to Winamp? I can do it with my windows media files no problem but most of my ,usic is in iTunes format for my iPod, plus its all organized too. Anyway I can transfer those playlists? and yes I am not very good when it comes to this kinda stuff, I have tried searching around and playing around so I figured I would come here.

    Any help will be appriciated.

unfortunately, Ipods were built for "1 way traffic", but unfortunately for Apple, people are smarter than they are and have built programs that slip into the ipod

dl the thing, make a folder in your ipod and let it run from there, then you can let it run from any PC really that your ipod plugs into!

I prefer to think Apple took the bare minimum approach to hiding music on the iPod - these kind of programs existed well before the iPod became PC compatible, and you can still pull the files off. But it's just hard enough to make Apple seem not be supporting rampant "copyright infringement"

Hopefully your iTunes music isn't in AAC format, unless Winamp has support for it (which I imagine it does, being an open format).

If you ripped regular ol' MP3s with iTunes, then you shouldn't have a problem.

What you might be running into is that iTunes defaults to ripping AAC files, albeit ones without copy protection. Winamp still should play them though.

Is it more that you're having problems *playing* the files, or that you're wanting to export the playlists from iTunes?
