If you are flying between 2 MAJOR hubs like that you can typically stay on the same airline. For some reason I seem unable to if my flights involve Phoenix, not big enough I guess.

    Lol you think that's bad?

Try Ohaire in Chicago. The new terminal that was just recently built.....incomming flights are on one side.....outgoing flights are the equivalent of about 3 1/2 miles away.

A straight run wouldn't be to bad, but you have to go down a giant escalator and across to the other side of the terminal, then back up another huge escalator.

I literally once had to sprint from one flight to the next b/c of this terrible friggin airport layout.

Are you just missing the bolded?

Its not unreasonable to check if your bag has a bomb in it if theres a reason to think so. "Hey, whats this rectangular box with wires in it? Better check it out" seems pretty reasonable to me. You don't even have to get into the patriot act to have justification for this, though the patriot act pretty much lets the government do whatever they want to you anyway.

The problem is humans can't be trusted, not that the law was violated.
Reasonable doesn't just mean if the search is ok, it also means HOW the search is conducted.

If they wanna check for a bomb they could spend 10 seconds rifiling through it in front of me when I checked the bag in, than let me lock it and move on. It doesn't take long to search a bag when you are ONLY searching for a bomb.

(Besides, a well hidden bomb inside a Wii would get past any type of search unless they took apart the Wii also.)

Breaking my locks and leaving it open so my valuables get stolen isn't reasonable. They should only do that if a bomb sniffing dog later alerts on it.

I'm gonna get so much flak >_> my dad works for Delta, at Hartsfield (the airport in Atlanta), and being from GA, I sympathize with the fact that Hartsfield is so incredibly fucking obnoxious to connect through or land in. wafik, i'll call my dad and ask him what company policy is regarding that shit, he's not Indian so maybe he can give you a decent answer.

Still, you're arguing the human portion of this. If the search agent RIPS your baggage apart then we're in agreement. The law is still the law and says they CAN search it.

sorry for heard about that, it's sucks.. I'm think i was lucky, flew so many times with my ps2/gc check in luggage and never got stolen. But I can confirm that TSA has nothing to do with the stolen stuff. At least, they open my luggage to check for so many times but my ps2/gc still in there, along with those original/burned games etc

Well, lesson learned that next time it is better to pick some airline company that with better service, althought it might expensive ,SIA ftw!

Worst thing that happened to me with my video games on a plane was when I decided to put an unopened soda in the same bag as my PS2. Sharp edges of the system apparently pierced into the soda and I found a nice surprise when I opened the bag... Somehow, it still worked after that lol.
