Well, an ls mate who I started the game with got perma-banned today, the guy he called up said specifically it was due to the use of windower. I never used to believe people who said they got banned for just using windower, but now I do.

I don't know if he used some kind of dodgy plug in, but I don't think so, so those of you who still want to play be wary.

Yea I know what you mean, but I thought people should know and decide for themselves whether they want to risk the validity, with the guy actually saying it on the phone.

When someone who for example has a piece of information in front of them saying "this ban is for windower" and has no reason to lie, then tells you, um, yes I do. Or maybe the support guy lied and he was banned for being French?

First round of bannings, a German friend of mine was suspended, and rang German customer stupport. She was told in no uncertain terms she was banned for using windower, turned out it was fleetool, not windower. So, no, I don't trust the customer support.

support will tell you windower because it's the easy thing to do.

1; against TOS
2; if you were banned for something else 99% (hell.. lets just make it 100%) chance youre usin windower
3; customer you can hang up on without having to deal with their excuses/lies/whatever

They tell you if you ask. Most people call up when banned these days because no-one seems to get LM-11s, they just get LM-17 and a temporary banned notice, then get told it's permanent by support.

Maybe they're running a secret character RMTing scam out of the support centre, temp banning, re-naming and rmting accounts!

Then we'll be likely to see those hourglass prices drop some, as well. Dynamis/Limbus were designed to be endgame gilsinks to bleed off the inflation- which ended up being fuel for the RMT fire instead.

Lol no they werent. Back when hourglasses were introduced there were no RMT around on most servers. Hourglasses were introduced roughly 3-5? months after NA release IIRC and back then krakens were 3m, harness 1m etc on my server.

I love the people who claim they got banned for windower. Probably 90%+ of PC users use windower. No way is SE going to ban that many customers for having the ability to ALT-Tab.

Not to mention, windower isn't detectable unless you're a retard who talks about windower in game, or makes it painfully obvious you're using it... "TP = 150%" "LOL I NO I CN CEE IT"

Regarding Windower, all I know is this: I don't use it.

I don't use any hacks. I have no fears because of that. But I'm waaaaaayyyy too paranoid to use windower. Even if it is not true. Even if they don't ban for just using windower. I'm sooooo not risking it. Not even worth it. Especially when I've got 2 PCs, a laptop and a PS2 sitting in front of me.
