According to the owners of the strip club, all of the trouble started when Jones' group arrived at the club around 4 a.m. and Jones began throwing hundreds of $1 in the air, which caused the strippers to fight over the money. As the Review-Journal explains:
When one of the strippers started grabbing the money without Jones' permission, he got angry, grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the stage, Susnar said.
That's when security guard Aaron Cudworth, a mixed-martial artist with professional fighting experience, intervened and stopped the assault, he said.
"At that point, Pacman said, 'I'm going to kill you,'" Susnar said.
The lights at the club were turned on after Jones' entourage and Cudworth scuffled. Everything calmed down and everyone was asked to leave. That's when the trouble really started. The gunman opened fire from outside, hitting Cudworth, a security guard and a female patron. The security guard was hit in the spine. While he is expected to live, he's also expected to be paralyzed.
