Pacman Jones punches stripper in the face, has guards shot

What a fucking trashbag... the dude throws money in the the air at a strip club, and when a girl goes to pick it up, he slams her head against the stage and punches her in the face (multiple times)... bodygaurds intervene only to have Jones' thugs pull out a gun and start shooting the bouncers @ the club.

Edit: in response to some people's replies about what I just wrote above~ this is an overlysimplified account of what it sounds like happened. Read down in the thread for more specific details. Please bear in mind also that this story is just breaking, so details are slowly trickling out.

How is he not in jail??

(btw for anyone who doesn't know, he's a star NFL player for Tenn Titans)

    Full article:
    http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/ ... 41485.html

According to the owners of the strip club, all of the trouble started when Jones' group arrived at the club around 4 a.m. and Jones began throwing hundreds of $1 in the air, which caused the strippers to fight over the money. As the Review-Journal explains:

When one of the strippers started grabbing the money without Jones' permission, he got angry, grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the stage, Susnar said.

That's when security guard Aaron Cudworth, a mixed-martial artist with professional fighting experience, intervened and stopped the assault, he said.

"At that point, Pacman said, 'I'm going to kill you,'" Susnar said.

The lights at the club were turned on after Jones' entourage and Cudworth scuffled. Everything calmed down and everyone was asked to leave. That's when the trouble really started. The gunman opened fire from outside, hitting Cudworth, a security guard and a female patron. The security guard was hit in the spine. While he is expected to live, he's also expected to be paralyzed.

Did anyone else see the title and think it was talking about a Pacman game? I was like "hmm, there can't be an actual person named pacman, can there?"

The quote you posted isn't located in that link at all.

Furthermore, there is also no mention of this in that link either:

From what I read it was Pacman's bitches that were with him that were fighting. Security obviously had to stop the ruckus, this pissed Pacman off b/c the security was all over his bitches.

As they were outside someone from his group whipped out a gun and shot the security guard who was the one most involved in the scuffle.

The behavior is still fucking ridiculous........but the facts you stated are way the fuck out of whack.

Actually the guy's facts are correct. According to an interview on sirius radio (NFL radio network) with the owner of the club. Pacman jones was throwing up cash to let it "rain" on the strippers. One of the strippers was unfamiliar with how the "rain" procedure worked, and started to pick up the money. Apparently, Pacman didn't like that, and grabbed the stripper by the hair, slammed her head into the stage, then punched her in the face. Then a bouncer retrained pacman jones. Pacman's girlfriend the popped the bouncer over the head with a champagn bottle, and pacman's entourage jumped in. Pacman bit the bouncer in the ankle, taking a chunk of skin out of his leg, ran off, grabbed the stripper, then punched her in the face again. He then told the bouncer ""I'm going to fucking kill yuo". After that, the strip club was cleared out, and someone from pacman's crew grabbed a gun from the car, and shot the bouncer that restrained pacman in the chest. He then shot another bouncer three times, paralyzing him from the waist down. There is security video of all this going down.

Added the link for the other article to the top (was reading a few different ones on this).

Reading an article now now that says there may be footage on security cams of Pacman biting the guard and taking a chunk out of his leg as well as assualting the stripper. This is so messed up...

As for not all the things I mentioned not being there, I'm paraphrasing what seems to be the general account from both a number of articles as well as radio reports (specificly the club owners testimony of what transpired on ESPN radio's Dan Patrick show this afternoon.

I could link 15 articles and audio clips, but I figured paraphrasing would be easier just to head the topic here ^^

    ---

Roughly speaking here what it sounds like happened (mostly from the owners account):

Pacman and crew are throwing money in air for promo event (not for strippers, they were supposed to get back).
    >>
Some promoting guys misunderstands and tells strippers to take $
    >>
    Stripper goes to take money
    >>
    Pacman assaults her
    >>
    Bouncer restrains Pacman
    >>
Some girl with Pacman hit bouncer over the head with a bottle
    >>
Security goes to restrain the girl
    >>
Melee breaks out with Pacman's crew, because security grabbed the girl who hit the bouncer
    >>
Pacman breaks free, runs to and punches stripper in the face...again
    >>
Original bouncer finds Pacman again in the melee and goes for him
    >>
Pacman threatens to kill bouncer and bites a chunk out of his leg
    >>
Everything settles down as people are pushed out of club
    >>
One of Pacman's entourage produces a gun from a car in the lot
    >>
Starts shooting, hitting the guy Pacman threatened, a second bouncer, and a random patron.

That's the sequence as best I can recall from what I've heard. So, yah Pacman wasn't the shooter, but it's seems more likely than not that he both assaulted the stripper and threatened the now-paralyzed bouncer's life.

Why the hell are things like this so frequent in the NFL lately? It's disgusting and demoralizing to hear about.

It's because they make too much money, I say we drop their annual salary down to like ~200k (less would be better though).

NBA and MLB make just as much money, but NBA and MLB doesn't have near the percentage of arrests that the NFL does. I don't know what it is with the NFL, maybe the whole violence aspect, maybe the fact that they have 1 week in between games which allows for a lot of freetime, i dunno.

Yah from that ESPN article too, it may be the case that a man who owned a different strip club (but brought girls for this promo event) may have tried to make off with the big bag of cash during the confusion, though he states "he thought it was for the dancers"

Could also be that one/some of the dancers thought the money was for them and grabbed for it since their club owner told them to, causing the original confusion.

Whether he was trying to make off with money, or just misunderstood, who knows at this point.... but yah, very interesting to hear various sides of this story.

The disappearance of the money may very well have played a part in the drama that ensued.

I think the NBA has just as many arrests, per capita, as the NFL. There's 4-5 times as many NFL players as NBA. Baseball seems less marred by arrests and more by weird injuries.

Basically he beat some woman over the head for not knowing any better, then his people shot the bouncers because they did their jobs. NOICE.

40% of the NFL has an arrest history, less than 20% NBA athletes have arrest histories. The thug mentality of the NBA is a fallacy.

when you throw out stats like that, please cite a source.

The main reason people think the NBA is alot more thuggish than the NFL is because the NFL still has white players as their main attraction: Peyton, Brady, and Favre are still the 3 biggest stars in the NFL. The NBA trots out Kobe (everyone hates him), A.I. (thug life personified), and LeBron.

This guy would be in jail regardless of being in the NFL or not. He's had several arrests due to stripclub incidents. The only thing the NFL did was give him the money to act even more outrageous than he would have on his own. Rich or poor, this guy obviously can't stay out of trouble. NFL has nothing to do with it.

The big difference is that if he were just some random guy getting in bar fights he wouldn't be in the news for it.
