Doesnt matter, people post VLKs all the time, they get deactivated pretty quick.

As well as any SP update, and drive encryption. IMO security any not having my files fucked with is worth it...Originally Posted by finale23
Edit: and any update that requires an SP.
so you can't get SPs unless you get ultimate version?Originally Posted by Ikith

Since its an enterprise copy it will not let you update just like the XP enterprise copy!
I won't buy it, but if I get it as a present. I'll use it. ^-^

then so be it.
BTW I bet you you can go on ebay and buy an ultimate key and then download the software from a torrent. Dunno if thats a cheaper option but its worth a try!
I'll wait until there's a leaked academic key for Ultimate.
I needed a new OS bad recently so i bought home premium for 90$ lol, it is fucking amazing. I really wouldn't get much out of business or ultimate so it was pleanty for me, plus uh it was like 90$ and i'd have been retarded not to get it.
media center, aero, 360 connect, thats all i needed and it is great. Just hard to get 1 or 2 things to run at first, but I figured it out for the most part. 3rd party 360 controller drivers only ones i couldnt get to work, thats about it really.
When Windows fixes the issues I've been hearing about Vista I'll be waiting. Afterwards though - Ultimate.
When Vista runs any of the games I play with higher fps, or gives me more memory to run more applications at the same time, I'll get it
my question..... is there any reason to go blow $XXX.XX on vista when XP works just fine?
Pretty fading and super cool interactive stuff!
Probably not.
Same, all the pretty oooo-ahhhh stuff is very OFN to anyone who's ever used Linux much.Originally Posted by Falconblade
XP owns for stability, I don't see any reason to upgrade until all the bugs are worked out and solid drivers are released.
