    I don't think it was a lack of chemistry that was a part of the story it was your typical odd couple buddy flick. They're not supposed to have chemistry or get along, until after the montages of them missing each other after some event causes a rift between them, and then the brash loudmouth partner gets the responsible veteran partner's respect back and they get along (or at least tolerate each other).
