Keep dreaming of seeing FF13/MGS4 on 360 in the next millenium.

I have a ps3, a wii, and a 360 and i dont play either because mmos are a deadly addictive product
I'm just hoping we see FF13/MGS4 on the PS3 within the next millenium, if the FF12 development cycle was any indication.Originally Posted by Exoduso

noob
That makes as much sense as Sony saying their PS3's are flying off the shelves.Originally Posted by Cletis

And add to the fact so many games have been delayed, and SE licensing UE 3.. Their developers must be having a hell of a time with it.Originally Posted by Xavier
My lolSony thread was better.
I'm going to LOL so hard if FF13 jumps ship to the other consoles. Take that Sony!
They cant, it would be a contract breech.Originally Posted by Mifaco

I don't think either FF13 or MGS4 will show up on any other consoles, simply because both games are already pretty far along into development, plus the fact that these games are going to move consoles to the point where any advantage the 360 has in terms of consoles out there will be erased when they come out.
That said, I don't relish shelling out $600 (or whatever the PS3 is then) just for 2 games...
RE 4, Killer 7, VJ 1 & 2, what am I missing?Originally Posted by Lordwafik

So unless 360 poops our a blue-ray player it won't be the same, lol
FF13 is mega million production, and it'll raise the bar as far as gaming experience goes.
Hopefully all 3 consoles continue to sell well, I don't wish fucking death to Nintendo, just death to those who think they're playing a 3rd gen system and not a Gamecube, lol.
Wii will have its games thats for sure, and its playerbase, that playerbase doesn't include me, or any of my friends who I know all have consoles or are "looking" to get one in near future.
They are all less of a gamer than myself, and they all say that the Wii has too many games geared towards kids for their liking.
Do I agree with that? yes and no lol
Went to best buy yesterday and they had a huge set up in middle of store built from about 30 PS3's. Only saw 1 person buy one, in the game isle they also had another 7-8 just sittinng there. Tempted to go pick one up one of these days since my DVD played broke and might as well upgrade to bluray >.>Originally Posted by Xavier
well a PS3 is about 400 dollars cheaper than a stand alone blue-ray player, so if you've got your hearts et on a blue-ray player then thats a no-brainer buy.
But that whole Blue-Ray vs HD-DVD is still up in the air, only one will survive, lol.
That being said if you're buying the PS3 just for the player for sake of upgrading, it might be too preemptive, lol
That was only becasuse the contract ran out wasn't it? Besides, the RE 4 port from GC to PS2 added a LOT of things, not just a new game mode. Besides, I'm pretty sure caocom regretted making the RE main series exclusive and choose to port it as soon as it was legal too..Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Blu-Ray is the HD format of the future. The war is already over, Sony has 6 out of 7 major film studios on their side, a larger installed base, a base that is growing faster than HD-DVD, better quality, greater lasting potential, a similar pricing level, etc. If you want to watch HD movies 2-3 years from now, buy a PS3 - the quality is just as good as a standalone player (unlike the purchaseable 360 HD-DVD player which blows compared to a standalone unit.)
"Exclusives" are going to become a thing of the past outside of home-grown titles because the costs of game development are rising. In addition, so many new developers are signing on to the 360 is because it's actually a viable console, unlike XBOX. Their decision has absolutely nothing to do with Sony's perceived "lack of success" in the long-run - they decide whether to release on 360 based on whether they'll make money or not. Anyone cheerleading that decision as a sign of Sony's perceived "downfall" is illogical and stupid. Microsoft can pay an assload of bribe money to keep certain titles XBOX-onry but they're just wasting money when most developers are going cross-platform and most households will purchase 2-3 next-gen systems.
In 2+ years this will all be academic since we'll all either own PS3's or we'll own Blu-Ray players, and Sony will be making as much money as ever. "Console fanboyism" is one of the stupidest and most hilarious behaviors I've seen on the net, perpetrated by people who have no education in or understanding of business administration (and massive insecurity complexes about their video games.)
Don't think the contract ran out, it was just because they didn't sell much at all despite the reviews.Originally Posted by Elcura

Btw I don't understand all the PN03 bashing, I love the game.
Whats scary is the Sony rep walked into my store and said that exact quote from the start of the video. "Wii is nothing more then an impulse buy"
Im cheering on all three systems b/c competition drives towards better games trying to top the others. It makes for a great gaming experience for this current generation.
Even with that said, Im realistic. As much as I want Sony to get back on their feet and get GT, MGS, or FFXIII out the doors, its not happening any time soon. So what more does it have to offer? Nothing in 2007 that I can't get one my 360 that Ive had for over a year.
I honestly don't know what they can pull out of their sleeve this year to inch farther along in the console wars with nothing coming out in 2007 that will guarantee to sell the system. Their ignorant approach to the system launch, the price, turning a blind eye to what the fundamental flaws with their launch and current problems, and the biggest problem of them simply denying their are no problems just isn't helping the situation. Sony lover/hater (Im a lover) you can't deny they need to do something and do something fast.
You also have to admit this is the shittiest atmosphere for a next gen console that we've witnessed since what, the New Geo? Almost every new console has gotten negative attention from both the media and gamers but never has a system gotten the flak as the PS3 is getting right now. Hell, EGM, one of the top and oldest gaming magazines, did a cover on "What went wrong" with the PS3 launch. My point is this. No matter if you hate the Ps3, you have to admit it needs to do something fast to improve its situation. Until then, your going to have threads like these until 08 and you arnt going to sell new PS3 @ $600+
