    SD Card Question

So my computer is telling me that my microSD card is "Write-Protected" and will not let me put a file onto it.
Any idea how I can change this? It asks me to remove the write protection, but I have no idea what to do.
    Thanks guys.

So sue me jesus. I just forgot, with that effort you could have just not read the thread or helped me with my question.

    Anyway, one update:
I am doing this on my work computer and they may prevent me from adding files through the network privileges?

Did you try flipping the little switch on the card itself? (if that brand youre using uses it) Can you format it?

I am using a Sandisk, I did not see anything to flip?
And I was thinking about formatting it, but I don't know how.

If the drive appears in My Computer, right click it and format.

If it doesnt right click My Computer, go to Manage, go to Disk Managemnet, find it and click format.

    When I click format:
"You do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation."

edit - again this might be because it is my work computer

Yes, you worded it odd the first time, but you probably dont have admin rights on the computer.

    Ok coolio
Thanks dude. So once I format it, it should give me the option to write to the disk then correct?

You ever manage to switch your EGM to Zinio?

Na, not gonna bother with it atm, I might try again in a few months.

You should be able to write to it off the bat, though, whenever I buy a new storage medium, I reformat it first.

    Seph,
So I got it home, and go to format it. And it allows me to do it, so I choose Ok to format it. Then it brings up a message, "The disk is write protected" and would not format.
How the heck can I fix this?

edit - Here's a link to the card

Remember on floppy disks there were those little tabs at the bottom that prevented you from putting shit on it? Look for one on the side of your card.
