How do you know this guy isnt a PLD who keeps losing lot on Homam Legs because he's in a points based system and he either doesnt have enough pts or his LS gets unlucky on the drop and wants to try to weasel his way to the front of the line for them ??

Head: Agree, only piece I still don't have, lol
Hands: thf > blu, blu's don't need enmity, thf's can choose to either take advantage of enmity (tanking) or puts a portion of their dmg on someone else so the enmity doesn't hurt.
Feet: thf > drk/loldrg > pld (it's very good for pld tanking, there isn't much enmity for that slot)
legs: pld > blu > thf tank is more important than blu and pld/nin is based off of flash/Utsu and getting cures off, all fast cast
body: thf > drg > blu > pld/drk

As pld/nin I tank in 3/5 (well I'm too lazy to get AF set out sometimes so 4/5 lolhomambodytanking) homam and works great. I'm weak on enmity but that's not the homams fault, that's no AF2 body/sattva/hades/merits compared to my cotank having all and kaiser shield -.-;

Opening a can of worms here, but why would BLU even have a chance to lot something like this before a PLD who more than likely tanks PLD/NIN for pretty much anything he/she does? As for the LS who doesn't let PLD lot legs, LOLGG.

Hands/Legs/Feet are the best three pieces you can get for PLD/NIN in those slots. Hands should definately be a PLD first, Legs prolly because they are very sexy, iono about Feet tho. Feet are like a bonus.

My LS does a tiers thing, where the longer standing ppl get to lot what they want and then drop to the bottom and work back up it. It will prolly be awhile before I get Hands/Legs and definately Body but it's a fair system. Got Feet in another LS and Head kinda rotted to me tonite.(it's not amazing but I'll take it for my 68BLU!)

I never really pushed for Homam Feet much. I've got Gallant Boots+1 and would rather use those during heavy tanking PLD/NIN as I'm using sword+shield anyways. The feet would be nice to have for XP or fun, but not an event kind of piece. Really, if I want feet for DD I just need to go whore out Mamool Assaults.

liek omg, did u forget wyvern hp = higher breath potency!!!??? And rumor is that jump is RACC(lol?)! Feet do actually own for lolDRG (having a higher hp pool on the drg helps to safely trigger 50% breaths too)

Hey, I like my 392 base healing breaths.

Head: I use for soloing, because it has def, unlike walmart turban and o-hat. Plus there some haste to go with the rest of my gear.
Body: DRG/THF/BLU(if you like blu) > PLD/DRK
Hands: PLD > everyone else. I'm not looking at the enmity, but the haste and acc. I would definately replace dusk gloves with these.
Feet: everyone the same

But not like any of this matters, my LS uses a priority system, where each person picks their own priority on which they like the most.

Legs are amazing for pld, infact one of the best pieces of the entire set. Giving it to a drk is like giving Haidate to a MNK before NIN, its just a haste piece whereas with giving it to NIN it adds to the survivability. My ls prioritizes it to BLU/DRK and Im fighting this everytime the subject is brought up.

Im just wondering why you let DRG lot feet first? Wyvern +50 HP is pretty pointless nowadays since its no longer a 2hr recast. The haste is nice I agree but I think that PLD, DRK or even THF would gain the same level of benefits as DRG would get from the feet.

Same reason you'd argue pld should get legs. They simply get the most out of the piece. The 50 hp tacks onto attack breaths and healing breaths. Some people do actually use /whm on events.

The fact there's no other +whp piece on that slot solidifies the choice.

because fuck points, we give out drops based on who raids the most to least and factor in shit like seniority/attitude/etc

I've argued that PLDs should at least be able to lot them about 15 times, and all 15 times this one guy who just got DRK to 75 (recieved Ebody for WAR, then leveled DRK) keeps flipping out about how im just a greedy piece of shit and want everything first, the funny thing is that i've stated PLDs should just be able to LOT them, not get priority, not even getting to lot them is fucking retarded. His arguement is that "haste DRK" gets the most use out of it, but ironically says that haste DRK is situational and we dont use PLD/NIN for alot of things (still working on gear before i hit up 3kings on PLD/NIN)...basically it just annoys the hell outta me, but whatever. DRK getting them is about the same as PLD getting them, THFs and DRGs are 2nd tier on utility for legs imo, then BLU.

Our last 3 omegas consisted of 5 heads and 1 pair of hands, i havent seen legs drop in about 4 months. /wrist

Shield skill does you no good if you go shadow to shadow seamlessly. As a PLD you should want Gambieras for that reason alone. Macro in shield skill / def gear when you lose shadows.

you can get away with AF+1 boots tanking on /NIN, but gambieras are better...if you dont have gambieras though AF+1 are a good choice, along with relic or dusk....when shadows go down i'd rather have AF+1 on already just incase of a double attack or if the mob attacks too fast for recast timers, or if my Ichi cast cant keep up, you're really relying on a block to get your shadows back up.

So why are Homam Cosciales so good for BLU ??

If its for the HP/MP/DEF, I know of a piece of gear that sells for anywhere between 250-500k depending on your server. This piece of gear excells over what Homam offers in Defence, HP given, MP given and accuracy, and gives MND+3 as a nice bonus.

I've played with my fair share of of Utsusemi:Ichi's and Homam legs to know that the fast cast on them is not noticable on cast time. If you can actually notice the 0.12 seconds that get shaved off from a 4 second spell, I tip my hat to you.


You bring Vendor's Slops into the picture, which excel over Homam in all other categories, and all it offers at that point is the Haste.

its probably because the piece of gear is equally useful for job A and B, and thus both should have similiar lotting rights. If you look at the cases for both sides, and you look at them again, and then you look at them a third time, and you still cant decide which is better, then its probably because its not better.

this is not always true, some people just don't have the perspective to make all of these decisions for all kinds of items.
