Yes it was not easy lol. Took me about 4 or 5 tries, but I eventually got it. Luis is actually really helpful in it, which helped a great deal. The hardest part are all the tentacle guys, because Luis would shoot their heads off and then out of nowhere I would go from full life to red with a swing from one of them. Awesome part of the game though

Is the Wii version of RE4 any different apart from the controls? The PS2 port had quite a few extras, does the Wii go beyond that?

Also, how does it play? I'm assuming you use the Wiimote+Nunchuck, is it better than a controller?

The Wii version has all of the extras that the PS2 version had, which the Gamecube version did not.

The controls make this game amazing. You play the Nunchuk in your left hand for moving, and the Wiimote in your right hand as a gun of sorts. The aiming is spot on. I compared it to those old House of the Dead machines in arcades with the light gun and all. That is really what it feels like, and I think it makes the game all that more fun.

Knife swinging is also made easier, you don't need to hold anything, just quickly swing the Wiimote and it will lock on to whatever can be knifed. All in all a great interface, and finally showing how well a shooter can be done with the remote.

Does anyone know of any places where I can find a reasonably priced Wii bundle? Am I better off hunting down a Wii, a second Wii-mote, etc myself or is there a bundle that will save me some money?

Also, if I get a second Wii-mote, should I get a second nunchuck? I'm under the impression these are sold separately.

As far as the nunchuk it all depends on the games you get. Like Zelda, Wario Ware and a few others use it, some don't. Wii Sports only boxing uses it. Just check the games you want to play to see if they use it before you decide.

Not sure about the bundle, but seeing the availability problems of the Wii still I'd say just get a Wii first, the accessories are easy to come by.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but I didn't think it deserved a new thread.
    /rant

I fucking despise going into Gamestop/EB Games anymore. I go in to reserve Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and this douche bag is at the front counter. Some person not from here, later found out he was from Florida (not surprising due to his demeanor), and he is purchasing R6: Vegas. He proceeds to moan over and over again as the clerk bring the game box out, and then continues to moan as he looks at the the back of the box. And these moans are like the sounds I would make while fucking my girlfriend.
So thats not it, while his transaction is being rung up, he starts looking at Game Informer. And he looks at the Call of Duty 4 pictures. And of course, he fucking moans again. WHAT THE FUCK PAL, GET OUT OF MY FUCKING WAY SO I CAN RESERVE THIS AND LEAVE. Then he proceeds to look through the release date book and moans a few more times about some new Star Wars game coming out??? God that guy was a douche.

Anyway, so I finally get to the counter. And this clerk will not shut the fuck up about their stupid discount card. I NEVER BUY USED GAMES, I DONT WANT YOUR DUMB FUCKING CARD. "If you play next gen you can save 5 dollars every game." How many god damn times do you want me to tell you I don't want the fucking thing, shutup already.

The whole package in those stores is just so annoying, just give me my games and don't speak to me at all. And I would be happy.

Man I got so sick of dealing with retards in line or at the counter, so I just speak up. Alot of people, especially in a video game store, are shocked as shit when you speak up or talk to the clerk like "Hi, I just want to get this, how long will this take or is a manager available to check me out?"

People start to hustle. Good times.

On Wednesday morning, Nintendo will officially announce to the general public its plans for WiiWare, downloadable games for the wildly popular Wii videogame console. Unlike the vintage games already being offered for legacy systems (i.e. Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx 16) through the Virtual Console, these games will be built specifically for the Wii and sold via the Wii Shop Channel for Wii Points currency, much like the Xbox 360- and Playstation 3-specific games being sold on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

What's more interesting is that Nintendo isn't only seeking WiiWare from established publishers and developers like Ubisoft and Sega. At a Nintendo developer's conference earlier this week, the company informed attendees that it was seeking from indie developers as well. Shorter, original, more creative games from small teams with big ideas; these are the buzzwords that you'll be hearing from Nintendo when its Wednesday announcement goes wide. Fils-Aime told us that while Nintendo, as the retailer, would itself determine the appropriate pricing for each game on a per-title bases, the games themselves would not be vetted by Nintendo. Instead, Nintendo would only check the games for bugs and compatibility, with developers and publishers responsible for securing an E for Everyone, E10+ for Everyone 10 or older, T for Teen or M for Mature rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board--Adults Only titles like Manhunt 2 aren't welcome. Look for the first WiiWare titles from Nintendo and third-parties to become available next year. And check back shortly with Level Up for more details on our conversation with Fils-Aime.

    Wonder what the quality of titles coming out of this will be, and when they'll give us an alternative to 512MB of flash memory. Aside from the 2GB cards of course <_<;
Sounds good. Nintendo really, really, really, needs to ditch the friend-code bullshit for its online services. Having a single Wii Code / DS Code is the way to go, and you shouldn't fking need to know a 12 digit code to actually play with someone else online. If you can't handle the internet, stay off of it, don't babyproof it.

How much internal flash memory or w/e does the Wii have again? 512 MB? Just wondering, because it seems like w/ the amount of games on the VC worth owning already, its gone over the limit. I think I read that the VC just "remembers" what you paid for and lets you re-download anytime you want, but can you also save them to a memory card or no?

And as to why you aren't seeing games like Final Fantasy on the Virtual Console, its because Square doesn't want it. They can release halfassed "remakes" every year of FF1-6 and sell them at $29.99 a pop, and people gobble them up. They see no reason to sell them for $5 to $8 and not even get the full profit.

you can save your games to a SD card or just delete them(you can download them for free unlimited times once purchaced) the big problum being just that you cannot boot from the SD card. so you either have to take the time to download it from the internet or download it from your SD card to play it. Not a huge inconvience but, not very conveinient either

Nintendo needs to provide a solution to this ridiculous 512 megabit joke. They need to hook you guys up with a hard drive, they could easily includ a 40 gig for like less than 20 bucks.

It wouldn't really be a problem if the games would just play off the SB cards (2 gigs is plenty of space for snes-ish games), but since I guess they don't, yeah it sounds like bad planning.

Just for the record after playing both:

The NG Sigma Demo, looks nothing like the Xbox version. It is an incredible difference in graphics.

What rank are you guys in normal? I am 6039 after my first play through. Not bad I think, considering how many people have played it.

You don't even need the memory card for quite a while, 512mb is plenty for wii-sized saves and SNES/N64 roms.

that is pretty lame, you'd need to constantly swap cards to/from the SD card i imagine. not too worried about that at the moment though, I still haven't picked up a classic controller, so no intention of messing around on the VC yet.

The demo is sick but I still dunno if it's enough for me to buy it... I had already put money down on it but switched it for Blue Dragon and I think i'll just gamefly NGS first to see if it's really worth forking over money for.

Don't waste your money on a Classic. EBG and Gamestop have generic GC controllers for $10. Those are compatible with every game on VC.

    Re: The Console Wars (360 / PS3 / Wii)

Gamecube controllers work for all VC games? Whats the point of a Classic controller at all then? As far as I remember, the GC controller has more than enough buttons to mimic a SNES/NES/N64 controller.

For the games that don't use the wii-mote and instead rely on traditional setups, you're forced to use the Gamecube controller right? Or can you use the Classic controller too? If you can use the classic controller on games like Super Smash, etc, then I'd probably prefer that, since it looks more comfortable. I never really liked the GC controller, never really could make much use of the c-stick with my hands.
