I think they will, with Sony's pricedrop, and sales being stagnant, they better! Also every single console up to this point has dropped at least once during hte first 18 months. *crosses fingers*Originally Posted by MF Perm
That extended warranty only applies to the red lights of death problem:
"While we will still have a general one year console warranty (two years in some countries), we are announcing today a three-year warranty that covers any console that displays a three flashing red lights error message." http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/petermooreletter.htm
But it does put my mind at ease when I will buy my X360 -- I'm just waiting for the price drop.
its just annoying, though I guess theres no real way to work around it. its programed into the game to look for the memory card when you save, so it would probably be a real bitch (or at least not time/cost effective) to make some way for the Wii to have a GC game bypass that. just like how you need a PS memory card to play PS game on PS2. realistically, i dont see when I'd pick up Metroid anyway. gonna pick up RE4 on thursday once school is over, lets say that takes me a week or so to beat, I still have SPM and Zelda to finish. shit, might even go back to my PS2 to finish FFXII if i decide its worth the time investment, madden 08 is out like august 7th? then MP3 at the end of august. if the memory card is $10, say $20 for a controller, and $20 for the game? thats a whole other brand new Wii game right there, all comes down to if i decide Metroid Prime was an epic enough game that I missed out on that I'd shell out extra money on a card, and controller id probably never use again.Originally Posted by Deejay
I believe you're going to want a GC controller anyway for SSBB
wont really know that for sure until they start giving out more info on confirmed control setups. in theory I'd like to go 4 remotes/classic controllers, but with my rough calculations, thats would run me about another $200 in friggin controllers, and probably mostly for one game. GC controllers would deffinetely be a cheaper alternative though, gotta have 4 player capability for SSBB one way or another.Originally Posted by aurik

All confirmed, plus customizable button setups.
I'm willing to bet all the SSBM pros (hell, anyone who plays melee regulary) will be playing on a GC controller unless they're just fucking around.Originally Posted by Oxyminus

Don't think this was posted yet, but anyway,

Kojima Productions will be at E3 at the Sony conference and Konami. They will have a brand new ENGLISH MGS4 trailer.
Also, at the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party ( July 24th) There will be a playable demo at the party. Can't wait :D
No, you are most definitely going to want the GC controller for SSBB. It will be fun to screw around with friends using the other control schemes, but I am sure for any kind of competitive play, the GC controller will be the controller of choice.Originally Posted by Oxyminus
And you should seriously just get a GC memory card for 10 bucks and play some games for that system that you missed.
And whoever said something like, 'the success of the Wii depends on Brawl', is seriously smoking something. It is obvious they have been selling a shitton every month with nothing but casual games, or even no games at all.
Its their fault for manufacturing something that REQUIRES such a warranty.Originally Posted by Skyylya

yeah I'm gonna break down and do it eventually. besides i guess i should look at buying a GC controller now as just a future investment for SSBBOriginally Posted by Po

Brand new trailer for RE: Umbrella Chronicles, it looks pretty awesome. Though still no confirmation of Leon being in the game, but I am sure that is a foregone conclusion.
http://www.capcom.co.jp/bio_uc/ Click on the middle link, and then the new movie link after that is pretty obvious.
that was pretty sick. looks like its going to be part in the present, and some parts that will be replaying from the prior games.Originally Posted by Po

VF5 for the 360 will have online multiplayer mode and the latest arcade revision.

lol shutup Sem
I'll be back Sunday and we can play next week![]()
Anywho, yea Umbrella Chronicles I am pretty sure is nothing new in terms of story, it just really goes into more depth into all the background of RE0 - RE3.
And holy shit @ VF5 online multi on 360... wonder if the PS3 version will get patched to do that too... otherwise, another loss for the Sony camp.
I don't think anyone cares about VF5 on the sony camp anymore... but that's still pretty cool for 360 owners.
down boy, i was merely pointing out that it's a huge loss. I don't post things on the assumption that you'll care, this is a pertinant number in a console war thread, a 1 billion dollar loss is quite a huge sum of money, even for microsoft.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
