I think the billion is an estimate throughout the whole life cycle of the 360, not a one quarter type loss or anything.

Regarding Sony, I think the the PS3 lost 1-2 billion US for the fiscal year. Hopefully they cut expenses enough to drop the price of the PS3 and not bleed to death.

lol, I work for a fucking financial company, forgive me for thinking about the numbers. I'm tired of gamers acting like damn badasses and thinking that they gotta jump down someone's throat any time something is posted that isn't of interest to them personally. This was interesting to me, if it wasn't to you, ignore the fucking post instead of starting whatever this half page worth of shit has been.

In regards to Deejay, it doesn't matter how the money is spent/lost. it is still money that doesn't go into their pockets. Do you really think they care about you and your product. They care about their profits and hope that in the long run this will improve them vs. fixing nothing and people not buying anymore. Regardless of the why, this is a major setback for any company, as someone posted sony had a similar problem, I wasn't aware of that but it's interesting to me.

That's for the entertainment devision which included the Zune at the time. Not sure what the breakdown was but it's not all on the xbox or warranty problems.

the 315 million is, I was just using that number to correct him saying it was the whole year.

However the very first sentence in the article, is that microsoft expects to pay over 1 billion on fixing the hardware problems of the xbox 360. That is not including any numbers from the entire entertainment division.

I didn't even really care this much, I just thought it was interesting so I posted the article, jesus people like to jump down throats about stuff. I mean it's nothing new, but it gets old.
