Nah I wasn't having trouble with the system itself, I just had no idea wtf that bar was for cus I was too lazy to read the stuff the npcs want to tell you before you go through the first door.
lol nice a new crash game is coming out in october.
The bar essentially charges your attack, but causes it to take more turns, hence the pictures which display how long it will take, pretty self-explanatory. It seems like hitting it in the "sweet spot" also boosts the ability you use. Never talked to the NPCs, couldn't be bothered with them thanks to the time limit
Oh that's what the lines were for heh.. I had about 2 minutes to play it, so again, wasn't paying attention... i'll look into it more when I get home.
EDIT: Oh and Lost Odyssey's trailer looks insane..
Well I am disapointed because i've already pre-ordered this... I can only hope that from the start of the plot it becomes more appealing. Urgh... I enjoy faster battle systems, which makes me believe il play this for like 4-5 hours and it will never be played again.Originally Posted by Bethany
lol, the blue dragon battle music sounds to me like the music square used in FFX-2 in the final boss fight with Shuyin.
And this shit is impossible on hard the way they set it up... have to move everything around in order to have a decent chance of having easy fights.
And this demo IS pretty damn boring... I hope the final game isn't like it.
I'm likeing Lost Odyssey and MAss Effect, both hot looking games.
And Last Remnant to know ones surprise is going to be fucking cool. It reminds me kind of like next-gen Ogre Battle, and Ogre Battle rocked.
From the demo, Blue Dragon looks like a great big pile of JRPG cliches mixed with some extra-long, extra-dull battle animations. No thanks; I was practically falling asleep playing this thing. Say what you will about FFXII, but the battle system's speed and lack of seperate battle screens were great shots of adrenaline to an otherwise pretty stale genre. I guess Sakaguchi just wasn't paying attention.
Here's hoping Lost Oddyssey is more FFXIIish (or something... anything less JRPG derivative than this crap).
New 15 second gameplay video now on http://www.smashbros.com
Also, DK is announced as a returning character.
Can anyone help me with upgrading my PSP from 2.81 - 3.03?
I downloaded the EBOOT.PBP and put it in the UPDATE file so the path looks like this:
E:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\EBOOT.PBP
The problem I'm having now is that, when I go on the memory stick the only option I get is "PPSP Update ver 1.50" and when I click on it the system tells me that I dont need to update because i'm already on 2.81.
This is bullshit... can anyone help?
Like I told you, you need to downgrade to 1.5 first... download the downgrader and make your psp 1.5, THEN install the latest OE firmware Dark Alex released (3.10 OE-A I believe is what I have..)
Check out the PSP forums at forums.maxconsole.net, they got some helpful faqs there and you can always post if you get stuck on something and they'll help you out... it's rather simple.
btw why didn't you just wait for the new PSP? Didn't they say it would be out by September or something?
It's my brother's PSP exo. I'm waiting to buy my own in September but I wanted to use his for practice lol.
Currently, m ver of 2.81 firmware does not have a 1.5 downgrader. SO what I had to do was upgrade to 3.03 and use the 3.03 downgrade to get to 1.5.
Right now i'm stuck downgrading my 3.03 - 1.50. The tutorial keeps telling me to copy the 3.03 downgrader to my PSP's ROOT file, but there isn;t one on my memory stick.. and i'm kind of scared to just copy it anywhere and ruin my brothers psp.
Root usually means base, so it probably means base directory, ie c:\, \ ... or whatever drive your mem stick is when you stick it in.Originally Posted by Deejay
EDIT: So after sticking in my mem card, it probably means \PSP\ as the root, just drop it in the PSP folder and see what happens! If it does something you did it right if not, nothing will happen.
Aahh you're probably right Semitry. I'm at work now so i'll give it a try when I get home. Thanks for the help

Want. Fucking. Bad.
so i finished summer school today (yay!!!) went to gamestop as planned to treat myself with RE4, put down deposits on Madden and Metroid, and maybe pick up a used copy metroid prime if i was feeling saucy enough to buy the controller and memory card. ended up dealing with the same pushy salesguy i ranted about a few pages back. walked in, found the used metroid for only $6! started talking to the guy and told him i was gonna put down a deposit on metroid and maybe some other games too. printed out a sheet and i ended up putting money down for madden, metroid, nights, and guitar hero. between that and picking up RE4 like i had originally intended, the salesguy gave me a GC controller and memory card for free! hurray for new games to play for a while
now i dunno which game to play though hehe.
oh yeah and watched that gameplay trailer....fucking amazing, game is gonna be epic!
Ah, so the pushy guy ain't so bad anymore hrmmm? :DOriginally Posted by Oxyminus
You got him 4 reserves on one purchase lol. He almost owed you the controller/mem card lol. Nice pick ups though, I should look into getting metroid myself.

Mario Galaxy Hands On Report
http://www.destructoid.com/e3-2007-metr ... l#commentsThe point I cannot stress enough is how easy this game is to control. Having to navigate Mario and an on-screen “cursor” at the same time does sound almost too complicated for its own good, but it really isn’t. In fact, it is as far away from being overly complicated as possible. The controls really are that perfect and become second nature in a matter of seconds.

The controls for Corruption are so responsive, so correct, and so intuitive, that I’ve finally been convinced that the Wii is the new home for first person adventures. I know that those are some bold words (and that games like Red Steel have left a pretty bad taste in player’s mouths), but if you play Corruption for just ten minutes, you’ll become a believer too.
