I'm getting by just fine on my Wii + my PC (not near top of the line.)

I have read a few post on here not all though. I'm thinking of getting a Wii is it worth it or not or stick with Ps3 Xbox ect.
Please elaborate on whats worth the money.

I personally am going to end up being a Wii360 man by the end of the year (just deciding on when). It really is about what you want from each system. I took a good, long look at everything, and decided that this was how it was gonna be for me (I could end up buying a PS3 later, but I actually want to see those "good games" that I keep hearing about come out, FF13 looks like it was pushed back to Winter '08 for JAPAN, and that's literally the only thing from PS3 that interests me right now). But maybe there's something on the PS3 that really grabbed your interest, like LBP or Home? What about the 360? I like it for the RPGs coming out (Lost O, Blue D., Mass E., ect), lolFFXI, the sheer amount of games that it getting versus the PS3 (in terms of exclusives), it is getting quite a few of the games that used to be PS3-exclusive, and it also has Achievements/Live, not to mention some of the best shooting games around (if you like those) and a strong winter lineup. The Wii is the most affordable, has all the the classic Nintendo character-based games coming out (quite a few this holiday, with more in early '08), has the new controller scheme for quirky games like DQS and Zack and Wiki, and has been getting more and more dev support/3rd party as it becomes more popular with the mainstream crowd.

It's hard to say what 2008 will be like before TGS since I expect a lot of stuff to be annouced there for the coming year, but all 3 systems have *something* to offer, no matter who tells you what. Like always, it's probably gonna be what caters to your particular taste more than anything. A lot of people like stuff from the PS3 that just doesn't interest me in the least (Resistance, Killzone, ect), for example. I would still be on the fence for the 360 if it didn't have several RPGs coming that I was interested in, but RPGs aren't everyone's thing either. Likewise, I still play games I've had for awhile like Warioware and Wiiplay, and am looking forward to Zack and Wiki, SSBB, the new Trauma Center, MK, and SMG, but I know quite a few on here who don't like any of those. You'd have to really tell me more about what you are interested in if you want a better answer from me.

rpgs, where? you arent going to get an in depth game on the wii, hell all of them i've beat in 3 days save SPM(1week) and i havent played zelda. i love my wii but its nowhere near a complete system. also just cause you spend hours a day on pc playing ffxi doesnt mean your a gamer either

im saying from a perspective of someone who plays a large variety of games, the wii just doesnt get you everything you'd want out of a system. i play the most on my pc as well, then ps3 after that, then the wii whenever i have a game that i want to play on it...till i beat it 3days later.

Err...what do you mean, RPGs where? I Just mentioned 3 off the top of my head (Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Lost Odyessey), and there are several more coming out that I'm not sure on yet, but look good, like Trusty Bell. If you mean for Wii, there aren't as many (DQS, FF spinoff, FE, a few others I really don't know about yet), but I didn't claim Wii had a lot of those (not yet, anyway), and PS3 doesn't have many either (I can think of two, and one we won't see before '09). As far as your "I'll beat this Wii game in 3 days, ect", that is a matter of OPINION. I have yet to see a PS3 game that would even keep me interested for three days, and then I consider the console price and say there's no way in hell I'd buy a PS3 for ____. But again, that is just MY opinion also. Plus, I know I'm gonna play the shit outta SSBB and SMG, and the other games I mentioned. As much as I love my PS2, by the time all the games I just mentioned come out, I'll have just about the same size library, in one year. I find that pretty amazing, considering that the console's life is just beginning and it is "catering to non-gamers" so much (at least that's what I've been told ).

Most Wii games are more the kind of games you'll come back to once in a while and have a great time instead of play for 3 days and never touch again. I can still pick up Wii Sports and have fun, but theres no way I would spend 4+ hours a day on it. I'm going to go back and play SPM eventually as well.

Zelda, Paper Mario (n64 version is now up on VC, so SPM and PM), and RE4Wii all are long games anyways.

lol@not playing zelda. I honestly don't know what people's resistance to Zelda is, its shocking how many people haven't played it yet own the Wii.

I thought Zelda wasn't quite as good as OoT (but this is mostly because Ocarina was the first Zelda I played so I guess i'm kind of biased about that lol) but it was a rather fun experience and definitely the most note-worthy game the Wii has out right now.

Good news, its easy (which is probably its biggest fault.)
Seriously, just play it.

PS its not an RPG. It has as much in common with Ninja Gaiden as FF.

have enough games that im currently playing anyways, and it doesnt interest me enough to play atm, ive seen a good bit from when we had it in the units at work.

and that whole month we had to deal with the ending of the game on ebtv and not paying attention to it so that i wouldnt spoil it if i ever do get around to playing it.

seriously tho, people still rent games? last i checked that was like $8 or something crazy for 5 days XD

Gamefly? More like 22 bucks for as many games as you can go through in a month.. And I live about an hour from their center, so when I send something, I usually get the next game on the list within a couple of days tops.

nothing wrong with having a good rotation of games. I remember when I was younger I'd play 1 game exclusively until I beat it, then bought a new game to play after that. now I've got 4 games with moderate amounts of gametime in them, and none particularly close to being done, which I like cause it gives me a rotation of games to play. on that note I really need to get back to playing Zelda, seeing as how its the first "real" game I started playing on Wii, but once I got SPM I pretty much stopped playing it, and now RE4 and Metroid are demanding all my playtime. stupid work and school.

currently playing: enchanted arms, ninja gaiden sigma, RE4 Wii, and PBR, as well as some motorstorm online, so yea, i got plenty to play. :D
