you've got 4 games to play...same as me, but i dunno what to play tonight. I've got like 12-13 hours logged on Zelda, like 6-7 on SPM, and 3'ish on both RE4:Wii and Metroid Prime. so many choices, not enough hours in the day

How can you possibly suck at Zelda but manage to play Ninja Gaiden? That game is like the most difficult thing ever made.

I don't understand the mentality of spending $600 ($500 for a limited time now) because of the games it -will- have someday. Buy the system then, and you'll probably end up saving money and purchasing an improved model anyway.

I agree with the sentiment though that its a two console environment, but what I don't really understand is why you'd buy a 360 and a PS3 when you're basically playing the exact same games on either.

SPM is great, I was playing that a lot recently before I got RE4 and Metroid (on the same day). compared to the other games i've been playing, its by far the most pothead friendly, so it gets bonus points for that. the Wii is probably the bane of all pothead gamers, shit gets too confusing sometimes lol.

i dunno, i couldnt play the ninja gaiden on xbox, but this one just feels so right, its the only game ive ever been able to actually get the blocking down so that it works smoothly. i tend to use the forward diving decapitation thing a lot tho to avoid most fights.

it is hard tho, but thats part of why i enjoy it.

yea, wii sports is awesome, havent played it much since i got the pros on a bunch of them and not many people to play with. wish it had some wifi capabilities to it. mario party 8 has been fun for multiplayer too when you want something a little longer.

and yea, i cant see spending the price for either of them really with game selection, i only ended up upgrading because it only cost me $190 out of pocket after some trades i was getting rid of and a few other things, so figured i'd get it out of the way and now its letting me play the few games that im interested in for it. otherwise i'd prolly wait at least another year as well on it. not the wii tho, definitely worth picking up as soon as you can find one ;p

However, given the success of Wii Sports, today's announcement that Table Tennis would be coming to Nintendo's next-gen console seems perfectly logical. Rockstar's Leeds studio will be developing Table Tennis for the Wii.

Table Tennis on the Wii will take advantage of the console's motion-sensing controls. As with the original, players will square off in a duel of power and finesse in a number of different arenas. The well-received 360 version of the game featured strikingly realistic ball physics, and used the same RAGE game engine that will be featured in Grand Theft Auto IV. Today's announcement did not mention whether or not Table Tennis on the Wii would also use the RAGE engine.

Maybe I'm a little gay to be excited about table tennis, but it should be a ton of fking fun with the wii-mote. And yeah, Wii Sports should've had an online mode.

My PS2 (modded/FFXI'd) broke and I since I had too much money in store credit in EB from not using it for a few years anyways I figured that I might as well grab a PS3 since I will spend maybe 10 dollars on it. I don't play it a lot now (PS3 game selection-wise) because outside of like Motorstorm there's nothing to play (that I can't play on the 360), so I mainly use it as an enhanced PS2 for now , but hopefully Heavenly Sword and Lair (even though the more I see trailers of it it looks like some generic one vs million games that will probably get boring after 5 minutes) will change that to some extent.

Did the Wii ever fix its online problem? I dont have a Wii but I always heard there was something "off" with the Wii's online function. I might end up getting one mainly because as they said, most people have 2 consoles and because I have a PS3 its unlikely i'll get a 360.

I think he's not used to really really intuitive controls lol

When they're done just right, its effortless. And you don't need to block much in Zelda.

I've done TONS of Wii bowling while intoxicated in some form or another, and some homerun derbies too. first, and so far only time I've needed to replace a remote was due to intoxicated bowling, I was rolling and pulled my arm too far back and slammed it into the back of my knee/thigh. of course when I noticed the rumble motor was all out of sorts, and called nintendo, i managed to neglect the part about me hitting myself with the remote, and the blunt that was being passed around during frames. <3 Nintendo.

And there are plentry of RPGs coming to the Wii in the NEAR future. Dragon Quest, No more heros. THey got Monolith studios to develop exclusivly for them (the people who made baten kaitos and xenosaga), FF: Crystal chronicles + the one coming out for the DS, squeenix said they were interested in using the balance board for future RPGs (probably not FF, but some other stuff), fire emblem.

COnsidering how the wii is the best selling console in Japan you'll probably also see a lot of japanese only RPGs which is gay :/ but they'll be making more in the near future.

On a different note, is it weird to be really excited for Wii Fit? Because I think that's like one of the coolest ideas ever for a video game console lol, and I'm about 10 lbs over my ideal weight so I could use it :<

The best playing while intoxicated games i've ever played are def not this generation, but the wonderous playstation 2 grand theft auto's. Nothing better than running over people and stealing cars and destroying anything you can while drunk.

Freshmen year of college me and some friends even made drinking games. Drive around in a big army truck killing people and getting stars and every time the army kills you, you have to shotgun a beer or do a shot. Eventually you start getting killed quickly as your driving skills decrease. good times.

its not that odd to be excited about Wii fit. it is the gamers and every lazymans dream, to be able to exercise with as little effort as possible, and from home. if it really works, it'll be the biggest fitness craze since tai-bo

Kung Fu Chaos, the heavenly sword studio's only other game sucked (and hands on impressions from e3 seem negative too.)
Lair was made by the Rogue Squadron guys, which were awesome.

its deffinetely innovative, thats about all the props im willing to give it for now. anything else i'd have to wait to see some results. it would have been cool if for E3 they had someone using it (in whatever form of a working copy they have done at the time) using it for like the past month or so, as to show an idea of what it can really do.
