Actually got into it I guess lol. He had a blog that tracked his progress and I'm pretty sure it was posted on kotaku or joystiq. He mostly played tennis he said though.
lol I played tennis too, but after about a week I stopped moving around like crazy when I figured I just had to swing my arm a certain way to get the strongest shots out.
Wii Sports is really fun if you treat it like an actual sporting event, full racket swings in tennis, full golf swing, launching your arm in bowling, swinging the bat in baseball, etc, vs. flicking your wrist.
WII SPORTS, ITS IN THE GAME.
lol thats how i always treat wii sports. i rather do the full motion than a lame wrist flick, but this would probably explain why my arms are sore after extended sessions of homerun derby or boxing
Working your wii muscles hurt man
Also a fun way to break your TV!Originally Posted by Xavier

When nobody is looking, I play the Wii Boxing the way I'd actually box, and stand up with my hands in front of my face and actually move left and right to dodge punches. Play the game that way for an hour and it can be tiring, but dammit if I don't feel silly actually dancing around to fight.Originally Posted by Oxyminus

that is how i play, besides the fact that I dont know how to box hehe. one time i was playing against my buddies girlfriend, who does know how to box. it was impossible to do simply cause she kept jumping across the floor, including in front of me lol.Originally Posted by Xavier
I always play like that, and leave my door open so passerbys can see.Originally Posted by Xavier

That's excellent. I honestly hope it is a nice game, HS has me really worried it will suck after constantly reading Neogaf, several people keep saying the demo both last year and this year had crap for controls, and too many jaggys in actual combat. Neither were games I was really interested in, but PS3 users need something to play that they can't find on 360...Originally Posted by Pyro
Anyway, I'm waiting/hoping for a price drop on the 360, but at the same time I'm worried that if one does happen between now and Christmas with Halo 3 on the way, I'll have a hard time finding one. So, let me ask people who already own one a question or two:
I have a Wifi setup in my house already, a linksys system (I know, lollinksys), and of course my Wii connected to that just fine without any trouble. Now, assuming I buy the current $399 dollar model (not really interested in Elite atm, not a download junkie), what else would I have to buy to set my system up for Wifi, and about how much would it run me (I'm trying to plan my budget here). I figure if I save money from my Gencon trip I might be able to afford one right before or right after Blue Dragon comes out, then that would give me a little bit of time for the rest of the RPGs this year, but I dunno. I just don't want to put it all on credit if I can help it. I'm almost positive some people here already went through the same situation, and forum search helped less than I thought it would...
You can get the official 360 wireless router for $100, or you can buy a USB wireless gaming router at best buy for like $60. Then i'd buy an extra controller, and either a 3 month or 1 year Live subscription.
I refuse to pay the 100 bucks for the stupid 360 wireless adapter, that's why I just have a wire running to my 360 from the router in my room, and then I just move the wire from my 360 to my ps3 whenever I play either (cus the ps3's wifi sucks tbh, at least the last time I checked which was a few months ago, it might've been fixed by now.)
About Lair, I do hope that it's a good title, but I wouldn't dismiss HS and let all the retards that go to E3 call it "goddess of war" and shit... let's judge it when a demo is out (or if they won't release a demo, the game itself) and then we'll all be smarter about this. Either way, the facial animations(and the choreography in general) are supposed to be really good in HS, a new video about it was released on the PS3 store a couple of days ago.
If you have a laptop or a computer in your gaming room where your 360 would go, you can get some software for free that will take the internet signal that your wireless computer receives and reroute it out the back of your ethernet port. THen you can just run a 5-10 foot cable from the back of your comp to your 360 instead of a 50-100 foot one, this is what I would do if I couldn't directly plug mine in. But I'm on eof those guys who doesn't trust wifi for online games, especially since the 360 has more FPS, so hardwire all the way.
I really don't understand what the big problem with the wifi on the PS3 is. I have yet to have a single problem with it.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Regarding the demo for HS, from what I understand they already announced it for the EU store so I can only assume that it will come to the US store before then or at the same time.
