I'd find something else to occupy your time for a while. It's likely not going to be out before next winter...in japan. So...that would be sometime in '09 for the U.S.

Got RE4:Wii yesterday. Pretty fun game. Still gotta get used to the nun-chuck control aspect though. I think it's just the up is down and down is up thing. Haven't played it enough to see if I can reverse that.
On the wii-mote, hit either + or 2, I forget which it is, and it'll take you to the game options, controls, and theres an inverse on/off option.Originally Posted by Norelco

Source? Wasn't the wii-mote originally designed as a gamecube accessory?Originally Posted by ertyu

Depends, for some you swing the wiimote (like running) but for dodging you generally have to press b+a.Originally Posted by Elcura

I assume you are referring to the instances where the big boulders are rolling at you, and you have to run and dodge them?Originally Posted by Elcura
You shake the Wiimote to run, and then press A+B to dodge.
Oh snap, LOST, the video game: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,2003678 ... 56,00.html
I read from several sources the Wii-mote was originally a Gamecube accessory as well, which they decided to build a new system around.
Take the old Gamecube, tweak its performance a bit and release with the waggle-wand and you got yourself an unexpected commercial success.
By unexpected success I am not saying it was supposed to be a failure, just that no one had anticipated it would be doing as well as it has. It exceeded expectations of everyone I'm sure.
Which makes this picture so god damn accurate.Originally Posted by Mysterio

Couple of random things:
1) What the fuck Microsoft, why won't you allow third party wireless-N USB network adapters to work with the 360? Fuck wireless-G. If you want to control the wireless 360 market, make one yourselves then damnit. I want to stream my HD .wmvs, but I can't since the current adapter stutters like G-Prime in a strip club.
2) I'm finding it very hard to enjoy Gears online. The story mode was amazing... an absolutely amazing game (save the last level...), but online I just find it so hard to have fun. Maybe it's because I haven't played with people I know yet, or maybe it's because I don't have a headset (well, I have a wired one but I'm too far from my 360 for it to be practical), but no matter how much I play, I just can't seem to get into enjoying it. It seems as though in every room it's always a shotgun battle, or someone's sticking grenades up your ass from that torque bow so you have no chance of surviving. If you play it safe, your entire team dies and you're up against 2-4 people who just straight fuck you up. I played GRAW 2 online and I loved it since it reminded me a LOT of SOCOM, but there just isn't that lasting appeal that SOCOM had. I'm ranting, and this is probably going to be a huge WoT, so if someone can shed some light on to enjoying Gears online, please do... or else I'm EBing it and preordering Halo 3/GTA4 with the money. =(
Ebay it, and buy Rainbow 6 for the 360 and you'll really enjoy it.
Gears is all about getting 2-3 guys you know, who have headsets, and playing together on a team. Its fun value goes way down when your teammates are retarded.
Looks like I'll only get about $30 for it on Ebay and I have to deal with shipping it out to someone, whereas I already have $89 on a EB gift card from all my old GC/PS2 games. When I traded Forza 2 in, they gave me $44 for it. =\ Granted Forza 2 is brand new, the demand for Gears is still there, hopefully raising the price.
In that case, I'll pick up a wireless headset tomorrow from work and we'll have to grab a third and play (Po already tagged me, so lets make it a date).Originally Posted by Xavier

I love Gears, but my Xbox isn't back from Microsoft yet. Sent it in for repairs on like July 10th, its status is no longer under repair on their website, so I can only assume its being shipped back soon. I'll def. play whenever I get it back.
New PSP/PS2 game. Harvey Birdman: AAL

Video stream player thingy. Its like the cartoon in animation and voice acting. Seems nice, same publisher as Phoenix Attorney for DS.

Edit: This video has Street fighter's Guile in it hah.
I was gonna say! You gotta play with my friends and I, we are seriously a fun time. If you want to play tomorrow night lemme know, it'll be sweet.Originally Posted by Epical
You gotta just get used to it man, and learn the online aspect of the game, the gameplay is def different than the single player. And like any death match game it is always imposing the first time. Once you get into it and make a group of friends you won't want to play anything else.
R6V is made of fail to me. I wanted to enjoy that game, but the first level just made me hate it. Just like every other fucking Tom Clancy shoot Mexicans in the desert game. It's a Vegas game, give me something different from the fucking beginning.
The first three levels set the premise for the story, in story mode. It takes about 10 minutes combined to blow through all 3 Mexican streets levels lol.Originally Posted by Po
It's clumped into "Bordertown" for multiplayer play, and it's just one of the 20 maps available for play.
After 10-15 minutes of play in the story mode you get right into Skyscraper rappelling infiltration and Massive shoot-outs on the Vegas strip and inside 3 different Casinos. The gameplay and control is unparalled in my opinion.
It's a shame you're turned off by playing just the first level lol
I was turned off by it as well, but from what I keep hearing I should give it another shot heh..
