BTW, I never received one of the games Gamefly shipped to me, it's been 8 days now, so I reported it, however it's still listed as a game I have out, so it's pretty much only letting me have 1 game at a time even though i'm paying for a 2-game plan until they figure it out, which could take forever at this pace (I only received a response this morning...) Does anyone have any experiences with stuff like that with Gamefly?

Kinda, yeah... insofar as i have returned games to them before and sat on my hands for almost 2 weeks with my Queue still listing the game i sent back as "at home." That has actually happened to me twice now. I know that they don't have nearly the same amount of processing centers that Netflix does (i have both) and that has a lot to do with the slow turn around on send/receive. I have the 1-game plan though, so cannot really comment 2-game issues =P

But yeah, both times now i have had to report that i shipped a game back to them and they "have no received it" and usually my Queue then gets updated and another 5-7 days from then i get the next game (which is usually one that I wasn't so interested in getting.)

The one benefit is that netflix does do bluray rentals now as well. But I don't think a movie player alone should be enough to sell you on a system. Games are most important.

If you're after a blue-ray player, and the PS3 happens to be cheaper than your average player, why wouldn't that be a selling feature?

People don't really care about high def movies yet, and other than that and NGS/Motorstorm, the PS3 doesn't really have anything to offer as of right now.

They can, but none of this will matter for another 3-5 years. The DVD player didn't even start to get popular untill after the price was reasonable. Bluray/HD DVD couldn't be more irrelevant when it comes to gaming/anything at the moment, and they won't be untill a majority of the middle class starts buying HDTVs.

Also, on the VC it says "It is Metroid Month!". So hopefully that means we will see Super Metroid on the VC very soon :D

Says the VC NES Metroid is coming August 13th, and the SNES version August 20th.

Hopefully this is the beginning of trailers/demos/etc on the Wii, looks like Nintendo is getting its online act together a bit better. Even without a hard drive, all they'd have to do is update the firmware to let the flash cards run saves/demos/trailers, since 2GB would be more than enough to demo and delete afterwards.

The reason I phrased my post that way is because I was responding to Norelco's original question:

Bah, I'm so torn between 360 and ps3. The bluray player is what keeps edging me towards ps3, but 360 for now has the definite edge on games i'd like to play.

He said the major aspect pulling him to PS3 was blu ray while 360 actually had the games he wanted. I figured when comparing gaming systems if you like the movie playback of one and the games of another, to go the way of games. Especially when 360 can play movies upscaled as opposed to a marginal difference from Blu ray.

I'm not sure if you downloaded the trailer Xav, but it only took up 70 blocks, which is less than most VC games. It seems what they did to cut down on the size was just stream it somehow off of the internet, since when you begin to play it, it says "buffering".

My point wasn't that it doesn't. Just that the 360 upscales but doesn't have HD-DVD or BR in the box.

Bioshock got 10/10 on it's first online review.

The reviews from these magazones are lame, same goes for Nintendo Power, and Playstation Underground lol

Bioshock is shaping up to be an awesome game, but thats beside the point lol
