It's just hard for me to stomach blind support of anything, not just sony. You guys hype the hell out of games like warhawk, AC4, Lair, etc etc knowing that they probably won't amount to shit. Sorry, but it's hard for me to believe that anyone cares enough to read that whole interview lol. He even posted it already somewhere else.

The more interesting question is what games deserve "Hype" in your book, and what method do you use to decide that; is it review score? Game sells? Developers? Or games you like? I mean warhawk has been giving positive previews from every game magazine and website that I can think off. But your saying this game deserves no hype? Lets take UT3 its the first console game that supports PC mods and has Keyboard + Mouse support (On PS3 version for now) does this game qualify as a game that can receive hype?

Hell yeah Unreal 3 deserves the hype! I can honestly say that UR3 is the first game that actually got me excited for the PS3. Then I found out that the xbox version will be coming out 6 months later anyway. VF5 looked way better with the extra 6 months so we'll see what Epic does with the extra time. I never said you guys couldnt hype games, I just said warhawk looks like it will end up in the same boat as motorstorm and lair.

As for MGS4 and FF13 being on the horizon... MGS4 is, but you wouldn't see FF13 even if you climbed the highest fucking mountain... doubt the game will even come out before 2009.

It was not a debate over which system has the better game selection.

Everyone knows the 360 has the best selection at the moment, no one has ever disputed the current line-ups, future yes, but current no.

You always go on about the over hyped Halo, and we don't exactly shit all over you like you do when we discuss Warhawk in it's own thread. Yes Halo has a big fanbase from 2 previously mad marketed games for a console which didn't have much going for it other than Halo. No wonder it blossomed into the behemoth it is now. It's a pretty solid game, no one ever really barked otherwise. Lots of people think it's considerably over-hyped, and it you should be hard pressed to disagree. But Halo is still a great game.

There wouldn't be a problem if you didn't chime in on our thunder in the first place, lol. We don't have any serious multiplayer shooter games yet, and you're damn right we're looking forward to the first.

And Warhawk looks cool, but as to whether it'll be a good title or not is yet to be seen... Same thing applies to Lair and Heavenly Sword. (i'll be the first to buy them if they are... I need some good PS3 titles lol, I can only play NGS for so long..)

Best? as in most popular? yes, by far.

Best as in most innovative gameplay? probably bioshock.

Best graphics? probably Call of Duty 4..

360 has lots of good games coming out this fall, I don't think Halo will win anything but the hype award(my opinion). But in the world of money, sales is all that matters regardless of how you get there.

Halo3 is a good game, I played some of the Demo at my buddies. But it's being hyped as the second coming of Jesus, for christs sake.

Lots of games are basically neck-in-neck in that category.

Have you read about Call of Duty's soldier creation for online play?

Not only does it have rankings similar to Rainbow Six but it has statistical tracking of your characters abilities. You can increase your characters stats like an RPG in strength dexterity etc, which affects your characters abilities and performance online. That feature will certainly add serious punch to your online value. Almost giving it a bit of an MMO feel to your character development.

Yea they aren't trying to compete because they are not a concern to Nintendo. 360 has been on the market twice as long as Nintendo and Nintendo has already sold the same amount of consoles, we really don't need to discuss the PS3 side of that argument. The craziest thing is, the best game in that time frame for the Wii was probably RE4, which was a 2 year old game. Sure Zelda and Paper Mario were there too. But there has not been a AAA release for months. If I were Nintendo I would laugh about the console war as well. All they have to fear now is whole dumb fad argument. I think by this point though it would be silly to call it a fad. I just hope they show up at Tokyo Game Show and show us some of the 2008 lineup. I need to see more than just Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit (though those both look great).

And yea, it is gonna be crazy how many Halo 3's sell this fall. Every single person on my friends list I'm sure will be playing that at all times. The 4 player online co-op is what finally sold the deal to me.
