They're cutting PS3 costs by removing vital components such as anything that gives Backwards Compatability. They've gone on record saying they are happy with the current Europe Value Pack price(Something like 599 I think) and won't drop it for a long time.
The current Price drop is temp, they MIGHT drop 80gig price after that, but that might not happen.


Though, I will admit, anything can happen. 09 is too far away to even speculate.

And they're going from 90nm (now) to 65nm (soon) to 45nm (2009) cpu/gpu chips. And honestly, who knows when FF13 will be released. Didn't FF12 get delayed a year on PS2 hardware? FF13 might not see the US til 2010+, you know with their focus on remakes, and probably the Wii now.

I waited for Heavenly forever because it looked like it would be a good title, but like 4 hours of gameplay is ridiculous lol.

Lair was just overhyped by Sony every chance they got, which makes me think that Killzone 2 won't be as great as they claim it will be either.

Have you tried this game? It could be fun if there wasn't so much bullshit going on onscreen at once, you can't even tell what to shoot or even see the enemies. That game almost made me go blind. It got a 2.5/10 in OXM lol.

Nice to see Warhawk getting an 8 from Edge. Is Edge pretty reliable usually?

360 elite was returned today to the store I work at for the red disc of death error, day of release elite, first elite I've seen with that problem.

the initial elites had the same problem with the old cooling system, ive seen some, thats why they stopped making em for 2months a bit back.

After watching the 3rd video of the Making of Heavenly Sword, it looks like at least the facial animations/body language will be very very realistic, almost too realistic... I wonder if other companies are going to start using that more and more now, it will make voice overs so much more than they currently are (where the lips kind-of-sort-of sync with the words, but not really..)

It might take more time, especially with games that will have to do it on multiple languages (Japanese and English I would assume), it will definitely be worth the wait.

Yeah... too bad the gameplay is so short, because the demo isn't all that bad really. (once you cast aside all the bullshit about how it was supposed to feel/play like god of war and actually appreciate it for what it is..)
