That'll be interesting. While it is no surprise, Nintendo isn’t attending TGS. What is a surprise is that Nintendo will be holding a conference before TGS to showcase their October to December software. Last time I checked, that included Galaxy and Brawl. Some other third parties are getting in on the act as well.
Funny, but he spoke way too fast for me to comfortably enjoy it. =(Originally Posted by Falconblade

Report: Sony out of stock on US 60GB PS3
Dave Karraker reveals that inventory stores have dried up for $499 console; retailers have received their last shipments.
So, last chance to get a 499 PS3, unless you want to put money on 80gig to pricedrop
No significant aversion to MP3, I just don't care about it at all.Originally Posted by Xavier

Doesnt matter lol, the 60 gig is better than the 80 gig anyways, get them while you can :D
Yes exactly. If you want a PS3 now is the time to get one. Do not wait on the 80s people unless you want bastardized PS2 emulation.
On one hand I feel that way, on the other, I can't picture my slim PS2 really shitting out and its perfect for trips since its so small and portable.
The upscaling is nice, and don't forget it.. it is a pretty cheap Blu Ray player.
BUT IF I WANT TO WATCH TRANSFORMERS ON A NEXT-GEN FORMAT I GOTTA GET HD-DVD.
WELL THATS OK, IT CAN UPSCALE ITOriginally Posted by Xavier
Upscaling sucks dick >.> If/when I get a PS3 it wont be for a blu-ray player cause HD-DVD for me is a much better format.
Anyways, anyone pick up two worlds yet? I heard it was shitty from reviews but I want someone who isn't a dumb prick to tell me how it is.
Oh yeah, and 24 DAYS TILL HALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Is there a visual difference between BD and HD movies? not trying to start a war, just curious.Originally Posted by ertyu
No. There really aren't any differences between Blu-ray and HD-DVD aside from some minor ones. Blu-ray can hold more but it doesn't really matter since they never completely fill up the DVDs. In HD playback I think bluray gets like 8 hours and HDDVD gets 5. HDDVD has a very slightly better sound capability, but I mean very very slightly, as in not noticable to the human ear. As far as video playback goes, bluray can handle more data at a time but really, its all negligible at this point. The only reason it's better for me is cause I won a free HDDVD player at work =p
