5 = subpar game for sure, although either way, i take reviews with a grain of salt as some games ive loved that got poor reviews.

DQ8's story isn't entirely generic, and it's a lot better than Blue Dragon's "Story".
The gameplay works out a lot better too, and is much more challenging without being "cheap". Blue Dragon is too easy, as its dumbed down a bit for the Xbox360 RPG crowd, which isn't like the PS2 crowd.
DQ8 is also a LOT more epic, and spends time adding new fun and challenging dungeons, instead of nice-looking cutscenes that add no real value to the game itself.

Well, like I said in the previous post, there are virtually no places that rent videogames here in Finland. Movie rental? Sure. But no games. I've no clue what the fuck that is about, I guess there's no market for rentals here or something.
