Having a killer lineup doesn't mean they all have to sell more than Halo 3 dude. We all know Halo will win the sales records, not disputing that. Sony is gonna try to shit on Halo's parade by announcing 40gig version within the next few days at TGS.

Let's see, by killer lineup I was referring to games coming this fall and throughout '08 and even '09 I guess.

There are lots of cross-platform games I've left out obviously, but those are majority of the main first party titles which will be expecting good sales. I believe there are two more MMO's currently in development. One is a Cryptic Studios MMO project for the PS3, and I don't know the other lol. I think it's an SCEA project.

And how does the 360 stand beside this lineup? 360 has some cool games coming out, I really like Mass Effect and how Lost Odyssey is looking, but other than those two, what exactly? GTA4 will be getting it's own PS3 exclusive content as well, so it's going to be tough to really favor the HDD less 360 version.

I'm curious what your lineup for the 360 looks like, after the perennial dick swinging of Halo, what else is there? Will the 360 survive in the US only? It'll never sell in Japan, that's been established.

I really like the action games that are very cinematic and make you feel like you're controlling the main character of a movie. Similar to the feel from the Metal Gear Solid games.

Damn, seeing that Xbox 360 picture has convinced me to take a picture of my consoles... well, soon as the lazy bums at the store send out my Xbox 360 Elite. -_- Apparently it's sold out pretty much everywhere, what the fuck? Should've told me that before I paid for it...
Anyways, the consoles I am currently playing (PS3, Xbox360 (I've got five games bought for it already, still no system -_-), PSP and DS Lite) and my 42" Full HD LCD have cost me 2840 euros (roughly 4000 dollars) so you can be goddamn sure I'm bragging. :D
This is why only hardcore gamers come out of Finland; the games and the systems cost so fucking much you'd have to be crazy to play "casually".
Anyways, please continue the console wars. I'll join up when the Wii bashing starts.

You underestimate Japan a lot.

From that one country, 3.59m Wii have sold, and 1.18 PS3, Roughly 1/3-1/4 sales are from Japan. Japan means a lot, you're cutting out a lot of sales if you don't bother with Japan. Don't be nieve.

Same for me with the Playstation. When Ractchet and Clank comes out I might have a good enough reason to persuade a family member to get me one for christmas, but if not then, i'll probably pick one up if Metal Gear turns out to be as good as expected.
