Still another 9+ songs to be announced, and God I hope that "leaked" list comes true.

Going back to the FFT remake discussion. I never fully played through the original but from what I read the story was impossible to decipher because of the shoddy translation. All reviews say one of the best aspects of the game is the redone translation and it is now possible to understand the story. Also as far as the slow down, that has been fixed immensely since th previous Japanese release.
Also, the multiplayer (both vs and co-op) is needed to unlock the best equipment for the new jobs - Dark Knight and Onion Knight.
Deejay - The game comes out next Tuesday so you know.

The Mummy 3 (movie) copying off of Resident Evil 4![]()
Po gdi check your PM box. >=(
Wouldnt the new movie for the Mummy franchise be #4
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
The Scorpion King
Jet Li is in the new Mummy movie, some Jade Dragon Emperor
BTW I'm so fucking anxious to play Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destructions, I can not wait, that game has me really hyped (not fanboy bs'ing)
1st day buy for me, 10/30/07
The Demo I have seriously gone thru 20+ times, the upgrades to weapons are awesome, OMFG the Groovitron/Transmorpher gernades hands down the funniest weapons I have ever seen
(Groovitron = Disco Ball pops above enemies and they do various clichè dance moves from the 70/80's, and you can kill them while dancing)
(Transmorpher = used to be a gun and turn enemies into sheep/chicken, this time its a gernade and turns all enemies in radius into penguins)
This game has so much replayability, I think R&CF: ToD, COD4, maybe....a Huge maybe Haze, ill get Folklore later down the line
BTW the JP PSN store has free downloadable Dungeons (new extra content user/developer oriented), hoping US gets same treatment
Where did you see this confirmed Po? Just curious, because sadly i have heard that at most... it is 10% LESS slow than the JP version. I know that the only people out there playing anything other than the JP version happen to be those that have the EUR naughty version that goes on your memstick. From what i have heard the slow down isn't "fixed immensely" so I am curious.Originally Posted by Po
I saw something similiar myself, dont remember where I read it, but went something like: "The lag/slowdown in the NA version has been fixed to an extent, it's not as bad as the JP game, but still quite apparent."Originally Posted by Graelinn
I dont have a PSP, and hearing about this game long ago I wanted to buy a PSP just for it, but when people started to complain on how badly the lag screws with the game, I think ill wait. Depending on how bad it ends up being, I might wait untill FFCC comes out to buy a PSP.
1up did.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

The most frustrating was the constant slowdown that plagued the battles; seemingly every small action caused the PSP to stutter briefly, and many visual effects (particularly those from magic spells) caused the game speed to slow to a crawl. The U.S. edition of the game doesn't completely smooth over these issues, but they've been dramatically reduced; now the technical issues are about on par with the minor slowdown exhibited in the PS1 release and are no longer distracting.
^Yup yup. I was gonna say EGM since I couldn't remember. But thank you for finding that.
And you guys need to click on that Joystiq link I posted. It is hilarious how much Brendan Frasier looks like Leon Kennedy in it.
just so you know, ratchet is 10/31, not 10/30, 10/30 is the ship date, wont be in stores till the 31st.Originally Posted by GraveRobberX

Yes, Crisis Core.
Interesting Kotaku article on JP Devs resoning for Japan not liking 360:
http://kotaku.com/gaming/please-explain ... 307424.php
Anonymous Ace combat 6 developerWe all know Japan hates the 360. We've all got our theories on why, too, but really, they're more like opinions. Few of you reading this are Japanese, even fewer of you make games specifically for the Japanese market. Which makes this GameSpot piece all the more interesting: they asked a whole bunch of Japanese devs just what they think is wrong with the 360.
Soul Calibur IV lead programmer Masaaki Hoshino
[quote:442ad]In order to succeed in Japan, [Microsoft] needs Japan-created content, not just a lot of foreign games that have been localized.
Anonymous designerJapanese players don't want challenging, stressful, difficult games. Japanese players would rather have role-playing games with a slow tempo, where they are led and shown what to do. So, maybe games like Blue Dragon will start to change things. When more of those kind of games come on to the market, then I think more Japanese players will accept the 360.
Infinite Undiscovery director Hiroshi OgawaPeople think [foreign games] are difficult and there's no guidance on how to clear the objectives. Now that has changed, and they are much easier to play, but this bias remains among Japanese gamers.
My Two cents follow: We heard Ryan Payton talking about how Metal Gear Solid 4, one of the biggest titles coming out of Japan, had been completely "westernised". And not just a regular old localisation, everything from its cameras to its controls had taken the Western market into consideration. How many Western titles return the favour?I think in the previous generation that when it was the Xbox versus the PlayStation 2, Microsoft was unable to put out many RPGs. They weren't able to put out the type of games Japanese players really play. And the resistance to 360 may be some holdover from that.

Kind of a 'well duh' thing going on, but meh.
40GB PS3 officially announced priced at €399 so will probably be 400 in the US. Has ZERO backwards compatibility though. Should be an interesting holiday season.

Why no BC...? Since it's not hardware emulation anymore, I don't get it. I was actually thinking about finally buying a Ps3, but this is stupid.
I believe it still has PSone compatibility because it was already 100% software emulation anyway, but yes it should be interesting.Originally Posted by Semitry
In the 80GB PS3, I believe the EE was software emulated but there was still some ps2 hardware in there. The 40GB version completely strips it all out hence no BC.Originally Posted by Alina
They'll probably still sell though, almost everyone has a Ps2 and they had to find a place to cut costs so they cut that.
