How rare is the 360's red ring? I seem too scared to buy one just because of it red ringing on day 1. As per your question, in my humble opinion, the 360 will really thrive in the long term
because of XBL. Yes, it does have some killer single-player games out right now (and inevitably some to come), but with the way that the gaming market will be going in the future, XBL will be a huge, huge selling factor and over gameplay attraction. So, yeah, you can buy it now for the single-player/offline games, and then have the option of enabling XBL in the future should you want to.
