I almost pity the Medic.
nothing quite on that scale, but whenever older family members come to visit my fiancee and me we always do wii bowling. it's easily the most fun/realistic and easy to play wii sports game there is for anyone to get into. The other games can be fun solo, but baseball, boxing(sucks) and golf aren't really that good, tennis is hard to do with two people having the screens so small. Bowling is really the best one on there.Originally Posted by Norelco
Wii play SUCKED SO BAD i'm glad i only rented it and didn't buy it. jesus that was such as waste. Those games are freaking horrible. I don't think i could find more way's to express how terrible it was to play those games. makes me not trust just buying any of those 'party' type games since the few that i've tried haven't really been good. trauma center sucked and i'm skeptical about brain academy.
Wii parties will be kind of lame until SSBB comes out.(then again, playing Rayman or Wario or Mario Party can be fun if you drink enough..)

Anyways, Ace combat 6 is out today! Anyone gonna pick it up? I'm debating.... guitar hero 3 comes out tomorrow (for me at least) and that's gonna be $90 and if I get ace combat I'm probly not gonna play it a lot and that itself is 150 w/ the flight stick, I think I might just hold out until I don't have a million games to play >_>
Amen to that. We had a few people over the other night and were drinking and playing Wii bowling and tennis and had a fucking riot.Originally Posted by ertyu
I play two player tennis all the time with my wife as a team. We're both pro status now, and it pisses us off that we don't get any raise in points now when we beat people with a status of 2000. What gives with that? We're at like 1200 and 1400.
Bowling is still my favorite though. I got a "six-pack" last night, which I guess is 6 strikes in a row, ended up with a 247. =P
I love the "Power Throws" training game too, but my wife and I refer to it at "the pin game."
Wii is alot of fun when you have a bunch of people over. I play with my wife and in-laws all the time.
Downloading the GH3 demo right now of XBLM, anyone played it yet? I won't have a controller but oh well. =(
Also snagging NFS ProStreet and Virtua Fighter 5 to curb my GH3 impatience for another 5 days.
Was Mario & Sonic Olympics slated to have any online play? The only information I found regarding this game and online was about a leaderboard with best scores/times, which is cool, but I'd love to be able to play some of my friends and you guys here at BG as well.
I never really understood the halo hype myself either. Like others the first real FPS I played was Doom, great fun game, but never really got into the 2nd one. Then Unreal came out, fuuucking epic of a FPS, and then UT came out and it was even better. I wasnt and im still not a huge FPS fan, I play for fun and dont really last too long so when when Halo was released a few years later, I just overlooked it, plus didnt have a XBOX.
I finally got an XBOX, and got the only games worth playing, Fable, Gaiden and Halo; played Halo and it was sooo horrible, ok it had a story, but wtf cares about a story for a shooter? Gameplay was so slow, it was just unbearable, it feels like your walking around shooting people, what skill is there in that?
UT2k3 finally came out and I just orgasmed, fast action, great gameplay elements and needed to have great hand eye coordination with good reflexs to adapt to the fast action of the game. After playing IT3 and playing Halo 2 afterwards..... wow, felt like I was walking in mud and just felt like there was no skill to it.
To me atleast, UT2k3's Bombing Run is the best FPS ever.
I echo all of Graelinn's thoughts. I had sooo much fun with CoD4 multiplayer beta and then I played Halo 3 and was like wow this is not very fun.
I don't know what set it apart for me, but I find CoD4 much more enjoyable and for that reason I'm gonna forego giving Halo another shot since so many games will be out in November and beyond that I'd rather spend my time doing.
So yea my sister got a job at best buy and found out she can get TV 50% off, so i need some good 1080p television suggestion, I would like to go with about 40,42 or 46" :D
Halo has nothing going for it except it's entertaining and fun.
There totally isn't a whole thread about this in the Tech forum right now.Originally Posted by CaptainN

so I'm months late and FINALLY picked up my copy of MP3:C. I haven't made it very far yet (not lots of time to play) but friggin WOW! only being able to turn my moving the remote is taken some getting used to, and that "locking" only focuses on your target, but the rest is free hand takes some learning as well, but goddam, what a game.
I need to finish this.Originally Posted by Oxyminus

Heh, I'm still working on Zelda for Wii. =P
I'm still activating the power generators? I've only played twice so far, late at night and very very high. I need to get back into my gamer mode of olde, put a game on in the middle of the afternoon, binge, eat dinner, binge till i need to go to sleep. work and college really fuck up one's gaming lifestyle.Originally Posted by Falconblade
and I feel your pain Norelco. I need to finish zelda...and super paper mario....and RE4, and galaxy is out in like a month?
So I walk into my local game store today to put some money down for Professor Layton, and I notice an amazing thing in the corner...
A playable Mario Galaxy demo. Excited, I grab the Wiimote and start playing.
Not 10 minutes passed by before I was enthralled. By the time 30 minutes had gone by I was COMPLETELY blown away. Just thinking about it now gives me shivers.
This game is amazing. AMAZING. I cannot stress this enough. This is THE game to get for your Wii, this is THE game to get a Wii for if you have been on the fence. This is Mario at his finest, make no mistake. The Wiimote controls are excellent, the camera is spot-on, graphics are beautiful, and it's just FUN to play.
These next 3 weeks of waiting will be extra-rough on me, but I will endure...
(Ironically I almost forgot to reserve Layton, game made me forget why I came in for awhile)
