Depends how you define good, but by most big review sites, no. At least in comparison to the 360. And if the PS3 did, Sony fanboys wouldn't be yapping about how the PS3 will pick up when good games (MGS4, FF13) come out because the PS3 saviors would already be here. But it's not and when the PS3 drops to under 100k sold in the US this month, I guess it'll show most of American gamers don't favor the great games in the PS3's repertoire.

Quit banana riding. The PS3 has 2-3 good games, but (imo) nothing good enough to warrant a purchase. No one should pay $600 just to play Motorstorm and Warhawk. When actual interesting games come out I might buy one.

I define good as a game averaging a review score of 8 or higher, it doesn't matter were I think the good is "Kool" or not and it doesn't matter how well the game sells. Because we all know alot of legendary games didn't sell well so its complete retarded to say the PS3 only has 2-3 good games. Because they got many games that average over an 8, hell I own 6 of those games already.

Theres no point in continuing this argument. It's rapidly turning into a debate on which console is superior, when they all suck just as much.

PS3: Enjoy your Blu-Ray player, since thats all it'll be for a long time. Not enough games to even make it worth while, get over it. Warhawk is mediocre, Ratchet and Clank is your only good game so far. Resistance is a generic shooting game, Eye of Judgement looks like an eye toy gimmick, HOWEVER: I haven't really seen it in action so I will say right here that any opinions I state on EoJ are based on shit.

360: Enjoy your console that will shit the bed any time you attempt to play a game on it. While it is becoming cheaper, it just doesn't have enough variety to sustain it. There are a few genuine good games, but not many that you can't get on PC. Also: Halo 3 is massively over hyped. It is not as good of a game as people give it credit for, stop using it in arguments.

Wii: Enjoy your Minigames. Maybe it'll become good when 3rd parties stop laughing at it so hard and giving it decent games. You're only saviors are the same saviors you had during the Gamecube era, with a few outside games to sustain it. Hell, past February, Wii is going to have some software trouble.

This is a joke. You debate over nothing, and in the end gain nothing, so why put effort into debating?

Every single console out right now has weak points, massive problems which really aren't being addressed or just can't be addressed because its the nature of the console. So shouldn't you if anything be trying to push your consoles company to fix these problems rather then criticize other consoles when yours really isn't perfect at all?

I've seen an awful lot of "the Wii has been a huge disappointment to me, I beat XX games and haven't touched it since, waiting for XX game before I use the system again". Maybe I'm wrong, but the point of buying a system is to be able to play and beat the games that interest you, right?

What I don't understand, then, is why people think that unless their system never turns off, its a disappointment. Zelda, RE4: Wii, Metroid Prime 3 and Super Paper Mario have all graced my Wii, I've enjoyed them all, and while playing them used my Wii quite a lot. Since then, I haven't used the system very much, but I'm looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy, NiGHTS, Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart. At what point does the fact that I'm not playing a system between games become detrimental?

Do I use my 360 more than my Wii? Yeah, but thats mainly because I play FFXI on it, and because of games like Halo 3, now TF2, etc, which have very strong online multiplayer aspects to them. But I didn't buy the Wii for its online games, I bought it for single-player experiences, and you simply cannot expect a single player game to have much life beyond its first play through. So I walk into my local game store today to put some money down for Professor Layton, and I notice an amazing thing in the corner...

A playable Mario Galaxy demo. Excited, I grab the Wiimote and start playing.

Not 10 minutes passed by before I was enthralled. By the time 30 minutes had gone by I was COMPLETELY blown away. Just thinking about it now gives me shivers.

This game is amazing. AMAZING. I cannot stress this enough. This is THE game to get for your Wii, this is THE game to get a Wii for if you have been on the fence. This is Mario at his finest, make no mistake. The Wiimote controls are excellent, the camera is spot-on, graphics are beautiful, and it's just FUN to play.

These next 3 weeks of waiting will be extra-rough on me, but I will endure...

(Ironically I almost forgot to reserve Layton, game made me forget why I came in for awhile)

Just to make it clear, i'm not that excited for Mario, and I don't think i've ever been THAT excited for a game heh... i'm just saying, it's his right to be this excited for it if he wishes to, no reason to bash him for it.

As for as what makes a system worth a purchase, thats simple the system has to provide the person who is purchasing it some sort of personal value. To some people value is what games it has, other its multimedia features, others its online gaming, other its just plain or reliable hardware, and etc. Sometimes its a combination of things other times its just 1 thing.

The Wii has been an utter disappointment to me. I got it 6 months ago or so, and it started collecting dust after I got the Handcannon/PRL on RE 4 lol...Been considering selling it back to gamestop D:...hopefully SMG and SSBM will change my mind...

Hmm...you only own a Wii? That would be pretty hard to do. A balance of Wii/DS/360 games is for me, since there is no console truly dominating at everything to get a glut of game variety similar to the PS2 (unless you can play shooters/racers/minigames for months, I can't do that).

That being said, if you can't be sated for gaming by : Zack&Wiki, Trauma Center, GH3, Fire Emblem, SMG, Link's X-Bow Training, Wiifit, SSBB, RE:UC, SC, Opoona, RRR2, King's Story, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, No More Heroes, Endless Ocean, NiGHTS, FF:CC, Wiiware, DQS or MH3, I would definitly consider selling it, while you can still get good money on it, no joke. I mean, it took awhile for me to warm up to 360, and it just recently got the 5th crucial game I needed (Mass Effect) 2 years after, plus it'll be handy for FF11 when my PS2phat finally kicks the bucket. To each his own, seriously. It's a shame when people can't accept the fact that people have different tastes and habits, but it is how it is.

PS I agree about the offline>online comment as far as consoles go... i'm that way too, and that's why there aren't too many 360 games out there that interest me. I still play Halo (at #2 now heh...) but not for their online capabilities as it doesn't really interest me, but rather because I find the campaign mode entertaining. (same reason why I like Bioshock.. even though it has no online options to begin with.)

There are some fun online games out there (like warhawk when it came out..), but ever since I quit FFXI I haven't cared much for those because I just want to get away from the random dicks that troll these games.

Every system has good games

PS3/Wii/DS/PSP/360/PC owners have recently with the internet boom been given a plethora of new information quickly..sometimes biased/sometime to much hype/approval (reviewers/etc.)

Before most gamers used to get there info from friends/word of mouth/magazines

Now every other fanboy/reader/lurker/troll can say something, and think they are affecting peoples reason of certain games be it liking/hating
