Next generation can mean anything, thats why you can pick out idiots who just factor in graphics capabilities. PS3/360 is next gen when it comes to graphics, Wii is next gen when considering its wide penatration base, user base, gaming style, etc

Graphics is more than just 'looks pretty'. If a game can handle a 500+ characters on screen, it will provide a new experience than 40 or less. To be honest, I've never felt that impressed with the Wii's motion sensor. While Wii Sports is fun, the whole gimmick is hardly sensative enough to be considered a big leap(it has been done before in arcades). I think the best thing Wii gots going for its first party games.

What I meant was; next generation quite literally means NEXT GENERATION. As in, PlayStation 3 is next generation in PlayStation line.
What the fuck is this shit about "true next generation"? What actually makes Wii more of a next generation console than PS3 or X360? Because it's not named Gamecube 2? Because it has a shit ton of games directed at old people, little kids and gaming newbies? Because it's not a huge step techically from Gamecube and is proud of it?
Honestly, Wright is full of shit. He's always been, and he'll always be. So you'll excuse me when I'm not gonna stand here idly as some asshole decides FOR ME that Wii is somehow superior to my chosen consoles because it's directed at a different player base.

Yeah.............first of all Sims is if anything a casual game isn't it? it's like one step up from playing with doll houses and tea parties, I don't mean that as a insult but it is isn't it? it pretty much attempts to catch the casual pc gamer market.
