To be honest I fucking hate that comment, and you see it in game reviews all the time. Take Twilight Princess, the big thing was it's really good, but its kinda more of the same from OoT, well guess what, I really loved OoT, and all I really wanted was more so I was happy that TP was this way. I Personally don't feel like games have to evolve that much from sequel to sequel, in a lot of instances all I want is more levels of the same thing. If I do get board of it, theres always other games out there to try.

I just know that every single review from journalists I've read have praised the controls, and you're the first person to call them shit. And then I look back to you constantly downplaying Mario over the past two months, calling it nothing special, that it'll suck, that it doesn't impress you at all, and I see the big PS3 logo in your sig, and can't help but wonder if theres some bias there.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but it just seems to fly in the face of everything else I've seen.

i have a wii, and most times, it gets more play than my ps3 does. i really enjoyed SPM, and heck even MP8. i'd really like another good wii game, but i've looked and nothing is standing out to me as good enough to make me get divulged into it. i was originally really looking forward to fire emblem too but now im not quite sure and might wait a bit on it as well.

I loved TP, my favorite LoZ. A lot of it had to do with Midna (best new character in the franchise in forever) and being a wolf, but to this day I have yet to have seen a more satisfying collection of boss fights (like SMASHING the fuck outta the spider boss with a giant statue hammer). WW had a more epic final-form of final boss fight, but I disgress.

Oh and izembo, if you liked PoR you should love RD. If not then I dunno.

Thats what Galaxy looks like to me, I'm watching gameplay and all I can think about is how much fun it was back in 1997, when I was 16. It brings back memories, hasn't re-ignited any desire to play it though.

I think it's a little far fetched to be giving this game a perfect score when it's a very similar formula to what they did 10 years ago, with some tweaks of course. I think most reviewers are simply reminded by this game of their inner mario 64 fanboy. Kind of like what Kenai experience but only not as flamboyant.

You did read that review last page, right? It called every adventure/platformer game of the last 10 years or so before this an embarrassment, and that is a VERY picky mag. My text didn't come close, nor was it in any way "flamboyant". Flamboyant is like...your avatar. Pot/kettle ect ect.

To say something isn't picky with 10's, you would have to see it give a game a 10 that was bad, or at least not widely acclaimed. However, Oblivion was widely acclaimed, and thus is reasonable and understandable for Eurogamer to give it a 10. This is widely acclaimed, and thus is reasonable and understandable for Eurogame to give it a 10.

Now, if it was something like Mario Party 8, you would have an argument.

As far as Mario, it is going to be a fantastic game any way you split it, period.
